Tyler Mabry
Tyler Mabry (born November 21, 1996) is an American football tight end for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Buffalo and Maryland. College career Mabry began his collegiate career at Buffalo and redshirted his true freshman season. As a redshirt junior, he caught 27 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns and was named first-team All-Mid-American Conference. Mabry transferred to the University of Maryland as a graduate transfer for his final season of NCAA eligibility. In his only season with the Terrapins, Mabry started all 12 of the team's games and caught 13 passes for 155 yards and three touchdowns. Tight End
The tight end (TE) is a position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football, on the offense. The tight end is often a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver. Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. On the other hand, unlike offensive linemen, they are eligible receivers adept enough to warrant a defense's attention when running pass patterns. Because of the hybrid nature of the position, the tight end's role in any given offense depends on the tactical preferences and philosophy of the head coach as well as overall team dynamic. In some systems, the tight end will merely act as a sixth offensive lineman, rarely going out for passes.
