Tyler Knight (Arena Football)
Tyler Knight (born December 22, 1984) is a professional indoor football linebacker. He played college football at Mississippi Valley State, and currently plays for the Sioux City Bandits. Early life Knight prepped at McClellan Magnet High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. College career Knight attended Mississippi Valley State University after high school. After his junior season in 2005, Knight was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Defensive Player of the Year, earning 1st Team All-SWAC honors. Knight was picked as the preseason 2006 SWAC Defensive Player of the Year, but couldn't reclaim the title, but he was still named First Team All-SWAC. Professional career Arkansas Diamonds In 2010, Knight began playing with the Arkansas Diamonds of the Indoor Football League (IFL). Linebacker
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. As such, linebackers play a hybrid role and are often the most versatile players on the defensive side of the ball; they can be asked to play roles similar to either a defensive lineman (such as stopping the runner on a running play) or a defensive back (such as dropping back into pass coverage). Arkansas Diamonds (indoor Football) Players
The Arkansas Diamonds were a soccer club based in Little Rock, Arkansas that competed in the SISL and USISL. The team was first owned by Samir Haj, a youth club coach based in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The franchise struggled for funding as it first played outdoor at Scott Field in Little Rock and its indoor games on the road. The team also played ambassador for Arkansas by hosting Russian professional soccer team Nitsru Kishnev in 1989 and 1990 in a combination of indoor and outdoor international "friendlies". Several local players that grew up in the Arkansas soccer leagues played in the earlier years including David T. Jones, Brad Shock and Robb Fischer from the Westside Futbol Club. The Arena Football League (AFL) was a professional arena football league in the United States. Billings Outlaws
The Billings Outlaws were a professional league indoor football team based in Billings, Montana. They were a member of the Indoor Football League (IFL), of which they were the 2-time defending champions. They played their home games at Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark. Their games were broadcast live locally on News Talk 910 KBLG AM and online through Teamline. Indoor Football League
The Indoor Football League (IFL) is a professional indoor American football league created in 2008 out of the merger between the Intense Football League and United Indoor Football. It has one of the largest number of currently active teams among indoor football leagues. The league has operated continuously under the same name and corporate structure longer than any other current indoor football league. With the closure of the Arena Football League in 2019, the IFL is the oldest active professional indoor football league in North America. As of 2022 season, the league consists of 14 teams in two conferences with each team playing 16 games over 19 weeks.
