Tyler Boudreau
Tyler E. Boudreau is an American military veteran. After serving in the Iraq War, he wrote a book about his experiences in the Marine Corps and continues to be active in areas regarding the military, the war, and veterans issues. Life and career Boudreau enlisted as an infantryman in the Marines in 1989 for four years, after which he returned to Massachusetts to attend Worcester State College. In 1994, he joined the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps at the College of the Holy Cross, and, upon graduation, was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in 1997. Returning to the infantry, he served as a rifle and weapons platoon commander, and then went on to the Marine Corps Recruit Depot to train new recruits in San Diego. On March 1, 2004, Captain Boudreau was deployed to Iraq as the Assistant Operations Officer for 2nd Battalion 2nd Marines based in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The 2nd Marine Regiment is an infantry regiment of the United States Marine Corps. Rifle Company
A company is a military unit, typically consisting of 80–250 soldiers and usually commanded by a major or a captain. Al Anbar Governorate ( ar, محافظة الأنبار; ''muḥāfaẓat al-’Anbār''), or Anbar Province, is the largest governorate in Iraq by area. Encompassing much of the country's western territory, it shares borders with Syria, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. The population is mostly Sunni Muslims.
