Ty Willman
Tyler Willman, also known as Ty Willman, is an American guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter who lives in Seattle, Washington (U.S. state), Washington. He is probably best known for his work with the Seattle-based band Green Apple Quick Step. He briefly fronted the band Devilhead and helped form Calm Down Juanita. Biography Ty Willman was a founding member of the Tacoma, Washington-based band Inspector Luv and the Ride Me Babys, which he fronted, with guitarists Steve Ross and Dan Kempthorne, drummer Bob Martin and bassist Eric Munday. They recorded a limited edition 7" purple vinyl 4-song EP, called ''Another World'' and released 700 numbered copies of it on Aroma Records in 1989. By 1992 that band had become Seattle's Green Apple Quick Step, with mostly the same personnel and a new bassist. ''Wonderful Virus'' is the debut album by post-grunge group Green Apple Quick Step. It was released in 1993 on the Medicine label. The album was produced by Daniel Rey. Medicine released the single "Ludes and Cherrybombs" as a promotional CD in Europe in 1993, containing the album version, a version remixed by Martin Feveyear, and an edited version of that remix. The single was also released as a limited edition 7" purple vinyl in the UK in 1994, with the Feveyear remix on one side and the other side containing an acoustic version of "Feel My Way", as well as a track called "The Unheard Music". Both B-side tracks were recorded by John Goodmanson, mixed by Phil Ek, and produced by Green Apple Quick Step and Martin Feveyear. The Echo Label was a British record label started by Chrysalis Group in 1994, and linked with Pony Canyon in Japan. The Chrysalis Group were the original owners of Chrysalis Records, which they sold to EMI. In 2005, The Echo Label recorded a loss of over £2.0 million. The decision was taken to restructure the business at the beginning of the 2006 financial year, into an "incubator" for developing writer-artists with the intention of "upstreaming" them to a major label. The signings which resulted from this included Bat for Lashes, Steven Lindsay, Rosalie Deighton, Jacob Golden and Sarabeth Tucek.
