Ty Powell (born April 27, 1988) is a former American football linebacker. His hometown is Marina, California, and he attended nearby Seaside High School. After transferring from De Anza College, Powell began playing college football in 2011 at Harding in Arkansas. He was drafted in the seventh round, 231 overall by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2013 NFL Draft. Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen.
