Twisted Tales (TV Series)
''Twisted Tales'' is an Australian television anthology and mystery drama which screened on the Nine Network from December 1996 to January 1998. Each episode was narrated by Bryan Brown, who also produced the follow-up series, ''Two Twisted'', in 2006. Each episode of the series contains a twist ending. Release The series initially aired during December 1996 and January 1997, before going on hiatus. Later in 1997, a video titled ''Still Twisted'' was made for the Australian and American markets. It compiled various episodes from the series into a single movie. The show briefly returned to Australian television in early 1998. Gregor Jordan (born 1966) is an Australian film director. Samantha Lang is an Australian film director and screenwriter. Her production company is Handmaid Media. Early life and education Samantha Lang was born in London, England, migrating to Australia with her family at the age of 14. She attended North Sydney Girls' High School, earning her HSC in 1985. She grew up watching European films, and was very influenced by the film ''Hiroshima Mon Amour''. In 1986 she spent a year at Universite de Grenoble, at Grenoble in France, studying French literature and linguistics. After beginning her university studies in 1987, in 1989 Lang was awarded a scholarship from Qantas to study at the Fachhochschule Wiesbaden in Germany for 10 months, where she focused on film and photography. Two Twisted
''Two Twisted'' is an Australian TV mystery anthology drama which premiered on the Nine Network on 14 August 2006. Narrated by Bryan Brown, who also produced the series' predecessor, '' Twisted Tales'', each episode of the series contains two short half-hour stories, that have a twist ending. Also present in each episode is a link or connection between the two tales. Rather than draw on a pool of experienced writers, the producers of the series issued a call to up-and-coming writers to submit screenplays. Some 2,400 entries were received and from these, 14 finalists were chosen. Directors were chosen in a similar fashion. A mix of experienced and emerging directors were chosen to shoot each episode.
