Twisted Brown Trucker
Twisted Brown Trucker is the backing band for American musician Kid Rock. Formed in 1994, the band has contributed to nine of his twelve studio albums, as well as Uncle Kracker's '' Double Wide'' album. History Formation and establishment (1994–1996) By 1994, Kid Rock's live performances had mostly been backed by DJs Blackman and Uncle Kracker, but Kid Rock soon began to utilize more and more live instrumentation into his performances, and formed the rock band Twisted Brown Trucker. Grand Royal was the Los Angeles, California-based vanity record label set up in 1992 by rap group Beastie Boys in conjunction with Capitol Records after the group left Def Jam Recordings. ''Grand Royal'' was also the name of a magazine written and published by the group. Described as a publication that "came to define part of Generation X," the total distribution of the six issues of ''Grand Royal'' was estimated at 300,000 copies. Due to mounting debts, Grand Royal went out of business in 2001. Its assets were sold off via auction on Bid4Assets; these assets did not include any rights to Beastie Boys music. The assets and back catalog were purchased by a group of fans who in turn started GR2 Records. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is a trade organization that represents the music recording industry in the United States. "Bawitdaba" is a song by American singer Kid Rock. Released in 1999 from his fourth studio album, '' Devil Without a Cause'' (1998), "Bawitdaba" helped push the success of the album. It became one of his most popular songs, receiving critical praise and entering the top 10 on the New Zealand Singles Chart. Background "Bawitdaba" has been described as having a nu metal sound. Its chorus has been described as a "neo- gregorian drone"; this chorus was derived from hip hop chants, such as the refrain from the Sugar Hill Gang's " Rapper's Delight". Woodstock 1999
Woodstock '99 (also called Woodstock 1999) was a music festival held from July 22 to July 25, 1999, in Rome, New York. After Woodstock '94, it was the second large-scale music festival that attempted to emulate the original 1969 Woodstock festival. Like the previous festivals, it was held in upstate New York, this time at the former Griffiss Air Force Base roughly from the original Woodstock site. The attendance was approximately 220,000 over four days. The cable network MTV covered the festival extensively, and live coverage was available on pay-per-view. Westwood One held its radio rights.
