Twin Towers (film)
''Twin Towers'' is a 2002 short documentary film directed by Bill Guttentag and Robert David Port, depicting the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center. It is about two brothers, policeman Joseph Vigiano and fireman John Vigiano Jr., and their actions during the attacks. The film was awarded an Oscar for Best Documentary Short at the 2003 Academy Awards honoring films released in the year 2002. Bill Guttentag
Bill Guttentag is an American dramatic and documentary film writer-producer-director. His films have premiered at the Sundance, Cannes, Telluride and Tribeca film festivals, and he has won two Academy Awards. Career Guttentag won an Oscar for Best Documentary with his HBO film ''You Don't Have to Die'', telling the story of one boy's battle against cancer. Guttentag would receive three more Oscar nominations before winning another Oscar for his 2002 documentary '' Twin Towers''. In 2007, Guttentag directed two films – '' Live!'', which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival, starring Eva Mendes, Andre Braugher David Krumholtz, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Michelle Krusiec, and Jay Hernandez; and Nanking, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, a documentary about the Rape of Nanking during World War II. Peter F. Jankowski (born January 8, 1964) is an American television, film producer and film developer. He is President and Chief Operating Officer of Dick Wolf's Wolf Entertainment, headquartered in Universal City, California. His work across both film and television have earned him an Academy Award, a Grammy Award, and a nomination for an Emmy Award. Jankowski has produced over 1900 episodes of television. Early life, family and education Jankowski was born in Jamaica, Queens, New York City, New York, and raised in Westport, Connecticut. His father was an executive at CBS for twenty years. He attended Fairfield College Preparatory School in Fairfield, Connecticut, graduating in 1982. He graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in 1986 with a degree in history.
