Twin Islands (British Columbia)
Twin Islands, formerly known as the Ulloa Islands, are two small islands southeast of Cortes Island, between the eastern coast of Vancouver Island and the mainland of British Columbia, Canada and are part of the Discovery Islands. The southern island is about in diameter and is separated from the slightly smaller northern island by a channel only about wide. The north island is somewhat less rocky and more forested than the south island. They are located within Electoral Area B of the Strathcona Regional District. Maximilian, Margrave of Baden of Baden-Baden, Germany purchased Twin Islands in the late 1950s as a summer retreat for his family. North Twin Island is an uninhabited Arctic island located east of Akimiski Island in James Bay on the southern end of Hudson Bay. Twin Island, New York
Pelham Bay Park is a municipal park located in the northeast corner of the New York City borough of the Bronx. It is, at , the largest public park in New York City. The park is more than three times the size of Manhattan's Central Park. The park is operated by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation (NYC Parks). Pelham Bay Park contains many geographical features, both natural and man-made. The park includes several peninsulas, including Rodman's Neck, Tallapoosa Point, and the former Hunter and Twin Islands. A lagoon runs through the center of Pelham Bay Park, and Eastchester Bay splits the southwestern corner from the rest of the park. There are also several recreational areas within the park.
