Twem
Twem are a French pop duo made up of French- Moroccan identical twins Samir and Mehdi Ben Nouh (Arabic: سمير ومهدي بن نوح). They are known for appearances in a number of talent competitions including ''Graines de Stars'', ''Popstars'' and ''X Factor'' programs in both UK in 2010 and France 2011. Career The name Twem (in Arabic توام) means "twin" in colloquial Arabic. It also means "lucky". The Twem come from Marseille, France, and were born in 1983 to Wahiba Ben Nouh. But they moved to Paris to study and pursue their dream for a musical career. They started singing early and both were part of the school choir in their teens. They had their first public appearance when they were 17. Mehdi Ben Nouh (sometimes written Medhi or Medy) appeared in on the popular French talent show on M6 called ''Graines de Stars'' in 2000 singing Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody". ''X Factor'' is a Franco-Belgian television music talent show to find new singing talent after public auditions, intermediate tests, and live shows. The first season was broadcast on Mondays, from September to December 2009, on W9 (France) and RTL-TVI (Belgium). ''The X Factor'' is a British television music competition to find new singing talent. The seventh series started on ITV on 21 August 2010 and ended on 12 December 2010. The series saw the creation of the boy band One Direction, from boys who entered the competition as individuals. The winner of the competition was Matt Cardle. Cardle was mentored throughout the show by Dannii Minogue. After the victory, he released his debut single " When We Collide". A total of 15,448,019 votes were cast throughout the series. It was presented by Dermot O'Leary, with spin-off show '' The Xtra Factor'' presented by Konnie Huq on ITV2, who took over from Holly Willoughby. "When Love Takes Over" is a song by French record producer David Guetta with vocals by American singer Kelly Rowland, from Guetta's fourth studio album, ''One Love''. It was released as the lead single from the album on 21 April 2009 by Virgin Records ( EMI France). The song was conceived when Guetta played the instrumental version during one of his DJ sets in summer 2008; American recording artist Kelly Rowland, who fell in love with the track, convinced Guetta to allow her to take it so that she could write and record vocals for it.
