''Twelve Shots on the Rocks'' is the sixth studio album by the Finnish rock band Hanoi Rocks, released in 2002, however it was their first studio album since the band's break-up in 1985. Critical and commercial acclaim for the album exceeded expectations and the album went Gold in their native Finland. The CD was issued twice. The first issue in Finland had 13 tracks and a different mix to the North American release which had 17 tracks. Lacu (born 1969 in Tampere as Kari Lahtinen), is a Finnish drummer best known for playing in the Finnish rock band Hanoi Rocks from their reformation in 2002 until his departure in 2008. He has also played with Popeda and Snakegod. Vesa-Pekka "Costello" Hautamäki (born 11 September 1963 in Tampere) is a Finnish musician and composer. He is known especially for his career as a guitarist with Finnish rock group Popeda, but he has also forged an international career with Hanoi Rocks as their guitarist during 2001–2003 and has actively performed and recorded as a solo artist. "People Like Me" is a single by the Finnish rock band Hanoi Rocks, and is the comeback-single of the band, who had broken-up in 1985. The single was certified Gold and reached number one on the Finnish singles chart. "People Like Me" is the fruit of Andy McCoy and Michael Monroe's team-work and one of the biggest reasons for Hanoi Rocks' rebirth, was that McCoy let Monroe be an equal songwriter with him. Originally the song was one of the last demos by the original Hanoi Rocks before their drummer Razzle died in a car crash, but the song didn't get finished until 2002. A music video was also made, which showed the band performing in the studio and live. Hanoi Rocks
Hanoi Rocks was a Finnish rock band formed in 1979. They were the first Finnish band to chart in the UK and they were also popular in Japan. The band broke up in June 1985 after drummer Nicholas "Razzle" Dingley died in a drunk driving accident with Vince Neil behind the wheel during their first US tour in December 1984. After their initial break-up, Michael Monroe was the first Finnish artist to chart on the American Billboard 200 in 1989. Original vocalist Michael Monroe and guitarist Andy McCoy reunited in 2001 with a new lineup that lasted until 2009.
