Tuy Valleys
The Valles del Tuy (Tuy Valleys) is a region of Venezuela, covering several municipalities in the north-central Miranda State. It is in the area around the Tuy River, one of the most important rivers of that state, a valley between the Cordillera de la Costa (north) and the Serrania del Interior (south). The area is also considered one of the five subregions of Miranda state, though without any official organization or administrative group. It holds the Valles del Tuy Metropolitan Area. Cúa
Cúa (founded in 1690) is a small city capital of the Urdaneta Municipality, located in the Miranda State (Estado Miranda) in the north of Venezuela with an altitude of 490 m. Cúa is noted for warm and clear weather, with year-round sunshine and 60 days of rainfall annually, and an average temperature that range from 18 °C to 28 °C, but with relative low humidity. With leafy forest and meadows, Cúa has a population of 123,000 (2004), mainly dedicated to services and industry (plastic pipes, paper rolls) it's a dormitory town. Tuy River
The Tuy River is a river of northern Venezuela, in the Valles del Tuy (Tuy Valleys) of Miranda, Venezuela, Miranda State. The principal river of Miranda, it flows north from Aragua State through Miranda into the Caribbean Sea. Tributaries include the Guaire River, the principal river of Caracas, and the Caucagua River. Miranda State
Miranda State ( es, link=no, Estado Miranda, ) is one of the 23 States of Venezuela, states of Venezuela and the second most populous after Zulia State. Tuyero
The joropo is a musical style resembling the fandango, and an accompanying dance. It originated in Venezuela and is also present in the eastern Colombian plains. It has African, Native South American, and European influences. There are different joropo variants: tuyero, oriental, and llanero. It is a fundamental genre of Venezuelan ''música criolla'' ( creole music). It is also the most popular "folk rhythm": the well-known song " Alma Llanera" is a joropo, considered the unofficial national anthem of Venezuela. In 1882 it became Venezuela's national dance and music. Formerly, the Spanish word meant "a party", but now it has come to mean a type of music and dance that identifies Venezuelans. A valley is an elongated low area often running between Hill, hills or Mountain, mountains, which will typically contain a river or stream running from one end to the other.
