Tushetians
The Tushetians , or Tush , are a subgroup of Georgians who mainly live in Tusheti. Tsova Tushetians speak the Tsova Tushetian language and Chagma Tushetians speak the Chagma Tushetian dialect of Georgian. Subgroups The Tush divide themselves into two groups, the Chagma-Tush, who speak the local Georgian dialect and the Tsova-Tush, also known as Bats or Batsbi, who speak the Bats language, a Nakh language. Most Bats also speak Georgian, to which there is a continuing trend of linguistic assimilation. Despite differences in language and culture (to a degree), both Chagma- and Tsova-Tush consider themselves to be part of the larger group of Tush, which in turn is considered a subgroup of Georgians. Buttocks
The buttocks (singular: buttock) are two rounded portions of the exterior anatomy of most mammals, located on the posterior of the pelvic region. In humans, the buttocks are located between the lower back and the perineum. They are composed of a layer of exterior skin and underlying subcutaneous fat superimposed on a left and right gluteus maximus and gluteus medius muscles. The two gluteus maximus muscles are the largest muscles in the human body. Bats Language
Bats (also Batsi, Batsbi, Batsb, Batsaw, Tsova-Tush) is the endangered language of the Bats people, a North Caucasian minority group and is part of the Nakh family of Northeast Caucasian languages. It had 2,500 to 3,000 speakers in 1975. There is only one dialect. It exists only as a spoken language, as Bats people use Georgian as their written language. The language is not mutually intelligible with either Chechen or Ingush, the other two members of the Nakh family. History Tusheti, the northeastern mountainous region of Georgia, is home to four tribes that consider themselves Tushetians: the Batsbi - also known as Tsovatush; the Gometsari; the Piriqiti; and the Chagma-Tush. "Tush" is a song by American blues rock band ZZ Top and was the only single from their fourth album ''Fandango!''. The song was named the 67th best hard rock song of all time by VH1. Composition The song is a twelve-bar blues in the key of G in standard tuning. Bassist Dusty Hill has said the song was written at a sound check in about ten minutes. The recording was produced by Bill Ham and recorded and mixed by Terry Manning. The title is a double entendre, referring both to slang for buttocks (with the connotation of "a piece of ass"), and slang for "luxurious" or "lavish", according to a 1985 interview with Hill in ''Spin'' magazine. Tush (band)
TUSH were an English rock band from London active during the mid-1970s, and at one time featured Def Leppard, Man Raze and Delta Deep guitarist Phil Collen. Formed in 1975 by George Junor (guitar and vocals), Mickey Tickton (bass and vocals) and Bob White (drums) under the name "Satisfaction", the band soon changed their name to "TUSH", inspired by the ZZ Top song. The band then recruited second guitarist Tony Miles to help provide a fuller and more contemporary sound. The band dissolved when George decided to return to his native Scotland for family reasons in late 1977. Mickey Tickton promptly reformed the band with new members, although maintaining the name "TUSH". Phil Collen, a guitarist in the punk rock band Lucy, had been a fan of the old band and approached Mickey about joining when he heard about his plans. William "Bill" John Tush, III (born October 16, 1948) is an American news journalist and humorist. In high school, Tush showed an early interest in broadcast performance and started working in radio professionally while a Junior in High school. Tush went to work in Atlanta, Georgia for Ted Turner, first as an announcer, later developing ''Tush (TV series), Tush'', a comedy show broadcast on Turner's TBS (U.S. TV channel), WTBS SuperStation.
