Children's television series (or children's television shows) are television show, television programs designed for children, normally scheduled for broadcast during the morning and afternoon when children are awake. ''Historieätarna'' (''The History Eaters'') is an infotainment series that first appeared on Sveriges Television during the fall and winter of 2012, produced by Karin af Klintberg, starring Erik Haag and Lotta Lundgren as the reporters and Fredrik Lindström and Björn Gustafsson as sidekicks. The British predecessor called '' The Supersizers...'' was first broadcast in 2007 on BBC2. The program follows the two presenters as they "live" in a certain time period. They dress up in period accurate clothes, and live life as you would in that certain time period with a large emphasis on the food. Each program features a guest chef who prepares period accurate food. On Boxing Day 2013, a Christmas special, ''Historieätarna firar jul (Historieätarna Celebrates Christmas)'' was aired. ''Swedish Television's Christmas calendar'' ( sv, Sveriges Televisions julkalender) or ''Swedish Television's Advent calendar'' ( sv, Sveriges Televisions adventskalender) is a Christmas calendar TV series mainly for children, broadcast by Sveriges Television (Sweden's Television) since 1960 and has developed into an essential part of contemporary Swedish Christmas tradition. Every series consists of 24 episodes (with a few exceptions), broadcast daily 1–24 December. The theme for most series have some connection to Christmas. Prior to 1971, it was called ''Adventskalendern''. Sveriges Radio also has a tradition of broadcasting a similar series on the radio each year and prior to 1973, it was always the same series on the radio and on TV (with a few differences in adaptation, depending on the medium), but since then, it has been a different series on the radio and on TV. Selmas saga was the Sveriges Television's Christmas calendar for 2016. The knitted tuque worn by Selma Traskvist, the main character, in the series led to a temporary knitting boom. The series was later sold to France, the Netherlands, Russia, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. SVT1 (SVT Ett; commonly referred to as Ettan) is the primary television station of the Swedish public service broadcaster Sveriges Television in Sweden. History Television in Sweden officially launched on 4 September 1956 with the launch of ''Radiotjänst TV'', which was renamed ''Sveriges Radio TV'' a year later. Erik Haag
Erik Haag (born 28 August 1967) is a Sweden, Swedish television presenter who hosted one of the semifinals of Melodifestivalen 2005 and Historieätarna both on Sveriges Television, SVT. He presents Historieätarna along with Lotta Lundgren. He has been married to actress and author Martina Haag. Biography Haag grew up on Kungsholmen in Stockholm and from 1980 in Riddarhyttan in Västmanland, before the family moved to Sorunda outside Nynäshamn in 1984. Haag has primarily been active in radio and television. He was awarded the Alfons-Bokalen in 1995 for his contribution to this year's summer holiday program on Sveriges Television, SVT, where he was the host together with his sister Sara. He was part of the Hassan gang on Sveriges Radio in the 1990s and was the host of Knesset and Let's Go.
