Turtle (comics)
The Turtle is the name of two supervillains appearing in comic books published by DC Comics, who were primarily enemies of the Flash. Two versions of the Turtle made their live action debut on '' The Flash'', portrayed by Aaron Douglas and Vanessa Walsh. Publication history The first Turtle appears in '' All Flash'' #21 and was created by Gardner Fox and Martin Naydel. The second Turtle (the Turtle Man) appears in ''Showcase'' #4 and was created by Robert Kanigher and Carmine Infantino. Fictional character biography Turtle (Golden Age) The original Turtle is a 1940s villain who uses tricks of slowness in battle with the Golden Age Flash (Jay Garrick). The Flash (comics), Flash (Bartholomew Henry "Barry" Allen) is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character first appeared in ''Showcase (comics), Showcase'' #4 (October 1956), created by writer Robert Kanigher and penciler Carmine Infantino. Barry Allen is a reinvention of the original Flash, Flash (Jay Garrick), Jay Garrick. Because he is a speedster, his power consists mainly of superhuman speed. Various other effects are also attributed to his ability to control the slowness of molecular vibrations, including his ability to vibrate at speed to pass through objects. Roy Harper (comics)
Roy Harper is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Roy is one of DC's most longstanding characters, originating in 1940s comics as Speedy (DC Comics), Speedy, the teen sidekick of the superhero Green Arrow. Like his mentor Green Arrow, Roy is a world-class archer and athlete who uses his exceptional marksmanship to fight crime. Along with other prominent DC Comics superhero sidekicks, he goes on to become a core member of the superhero group the Teen Titans.
