Dmitry Igorevich Tursunov (; born 12 December 1982) is a retired Russian tennis player and current tennis coach. At age 12 he moved to the United States to train and further his prospects of becoming a professional player. His career-high singles ranking was world No. 20, achieved in October 2006. Tursunov jokes about his lack of ability and success on clay courts. He was sponsored by Fila (company), Fila and Wilson Sporting Goods, Wilson. He helped the Russia Davis Cup team, Russian Davis Cup team win the 2006 Davis Cup and reach the finals of the 2007 Davis Cup. Sanzhar Tursunov ( uz, Sanjar Atham oʻgʻli Tursunov; russian: Санжар Атхамович Турсунов; born 29 December 1986) is an Uzbekistani professional football player. He currently plays for FC AGMK. Club career Pakhtakor He played for the youth team of the club and in 2006 moved to Russian football club FC Irtysh Omsk. Irtysh Omsk He played his first game for Irtysh Omsk on 23 April 2006. The first goal for the club he scored three days later in a match against Kuzbass Kemerovo from the second division. Up to the end of the season 2008 he played 86 matches and scored 13 goals. Anvar-qori Tursunov ( uz, Анвар қори Турсунов; russian: Анвар-кори Турсунов) was a prominent imam- khatib at the Kukeldash mosque in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He was stabbed several times on 31 July 2009, but recovered. Activities Tursunov fought actively against "extremist" Islamic activity in Uzbekistan, and often served as a witness for the prosecution in trials for suspected members of outlawed Islamic groups such as Hizb-ut-Tahrir and the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan. He had called for Uzbek Muslims to resist "foreign influences", such as wearing the hijab. He espoused many of his views on his television program ''Hidoyat Sari'' (''Towards Guidance'').
