The Turkmenistan national U-23 football team represents Turkmenistan in international U-23 football competitions. It is controlled by the Football Association of Turkmenistan and is a member of the Asian Football Confederation. The side has never qualified for the Olympic Games. Central Asian Football Association
The Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) is an association of the football playing nations in Central Asia. In June 2014, the association was in principle approved by the Asian Football Confederation and approved at the Extraordinary Congress in January 2015 during the 2015 AFC Asian Cup. As a result, CAFA will in the future be able to have member(s) on the AFC executive committee. The formation of CAFA was spearheaded by the Iranian Football Federation following disputes with West Asian Football Federation members. The 2013 AFC U-22 Championship (also known as the 2013 AFC U-22 Asian Cup) was the first edition of the AFC U-22 Championship. The hosting rights for the tournament was awarded to Oman. It was set to take place between 23 June and 7 July 2013 but was postponed to be held between 11 and 26 January 2014 due to the 2013 EAFF East Asian Cup. Muhammad Taqi (referee)
Muhammad Taqi Aljaafari Bin Jahari (born 25 October 1986) is a Singaporean international football referee. He has been a FIFA listed referee since 2012, and has also refereed a number of AFC Champions League matches. Taqi Aljaafari has also refereed matches in the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in India. Career Taqi became a Fifa-listed referee in 2012.
