The Turkey men's national under-19 volleyball team represents Turkey in international men's volleyball competitions and friendly matches under the age 19 and it is ruled by the Turkish Volleyball Federation body that is an affiliate of the Federation of International Volleyball FIVB and also part of the European Volleyball Confederation CEV. Turkish Volleyball Federation
The Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF) (in Turkish: ''Türkiye Voleybol Federasyonu'') is the governing body of volleyball and beach volleyball in Turkey. Formed in 1958, it is based in Ankara. The TVF is a member of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV). Federation's president is Mehmet Akif Ustundag since November 21, 2016. 2017 FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship
The 2017 FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship was the fifteenth edition of the FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship, contested by the men's national teams under the age of 19 of the members of the FIVB, the sport's global governing body. The tournament was held in Riffa, Bahrain from 18 to 27 August 2017. 20 teams from the 5 confederations competed in the tournament. Players must be born on or after 1 January 1999. Iran won its second title in the competition, defeating Russia in the final. Japan defeated South Korea for the bronze medal. Amirhossein Esfandiar from Iran was elected the MVP. Qualification The FIVB Sports Events Council revealed a proposal to streamline the number of teams participating in the Age Group World Championships. 2013 FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship
The 2013 FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship was held in Tijuana and Mexicali, Mexico, from 27 June to 7 July 2013. This was the first edition of the tournament that features 20 teams. Competition formula The 20 teams will be divided into four pools of five teams each and will play a round-robin tournament. The bottom-ranked team of each pool will play classification matches for 17th–20th place in a round-robin system. The other 16 teams progress to the Eight Finals which consists of a playoff (1st of Pool A against 4th of Pool B etc.). The winners of the playoff matches will advance to the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals to be classified from 1st to 8th while the losers of playoff match will play classification matches, with a similar quarterfinals, semifinals and finals system, to be classified from 9th to 16th.
