Turgay Avcı
Turgay Avcı is the deputy prime minister and minister of Foreign Affairs in the government of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. He was the Leader of the former Reform Party (Northern Cyprus). Biography Avcı was born in Larnaca in 1959. After graduating from Famagusta Namık Kemal High School he studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at American University of Beirut, graduating in 1985. He received his master's degree in Business Administration at the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) in 1992 and has a doctorate from Çukurova University on Administration and Organization. He attended trainings in USA and Germany in the fields of tourism, administration and quality. Republican Turkish Party
The Republican Turkish Party ( tr, Cumhuriyetçi Türk Partisi, CTP) is a social-democratic political party in Northern Cyprus. The party was founded in 1970 by Ahmet Mithat Berberoğlu, a lawyer, in opposition to the leadership of Fazıl Küçük and Rauf Denktaş. On 30 June 2008, the Republican Turkish Party became a consultative member of the Socialist International (voted in by all members except the Greek Cypriot Movement for Social Democracy). It became a full member of the organization in 2014. Policies and ideology The CTP is a social democratic political party, positioned on the centre-left on the political spectrum. Çukurova University ( tr, Çukurova Üniversitesi) is a public university in Adana, Turkey. The university has sixteen faculties, three colleges, seven vocational colleges, three institutes and twenty six research and application centers.
