Tuosist GAA
Tuosist GAA (Full name in Irish language, Irish: ''Cumann Lúthchleas Gael Tuath O'Siosta'') is a Gaelic Athletic Association club from Tuosist in County Kerry, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. It is the only Kerry club on the Beara Peninsula as all other clubs are in County Cork. The club competes as a joint divisional side with other clubs from the Kenmare area like in the county championships and as an individual club in other competitions like the Kerry County League division 3 and the Kerry Novice Football Championship. They are the Current Finnegan Cup holders. The club was founded in 1972. It provides opportunities for the youth of the parish of Tuosist to play Gaelic football in juvenile, minor, and senior teams. The pitch and dressing rooms are in Laruagh on the road to Castletownbere. As for the parish, Saint Kilian is the patron saint of the club. Tuosist
Tuosist () is a civil parish in the far south of County Kerry, Ireland. It shares the Béara Peninsula with the neighbouring parishes of County Cork, and the Caha Mountains form the county border. The nearest town is Kenmare. The parish is part of the barony of Glanrought and is divided into three electoral divisions - Dawros, Ardea and Glenmore. Local attractions include the Uragh Stone Circle, Uragh Wood, Cloonee and Inchiquin Loughs, the Healy Pass, Glenmore Lake, Derreen Garden, and Gleninchaquin Park. Beara Peninsula
Beara ( ga, Béarra) or the Beara Peninsula is a peninsula on the south-west coast of Ireland, bounded between the Kenmare "river" (actually a bay) to the north side and Bantry Bay to the south. It contains two mountain ranges running down its centre: the Caha Mountains and the Slieve Miskish Mountains. The northern part of the peninsula from Kenmare to near Ardgroom is in County Kerry, while the rest forms the barony of Bear in County Cork. Castletownbere () is a town in County Cork in Ireland. It is located on the Beara Peninsula by Berehaven Harbour. It is also known as Castletown Berehaven. Kilian, also spelled Cillian or Killian (or alternatively ga, Cillín; la, Kilianus), was an Irish missionary bishop and the Apostle of Franconia (Franconia is nowadays the northern part of Bavaria), where he began his labours in the latter half of the 7th century. Templenoe GAA (Irish: ''CLG Teampall Nua'') is a Gaelic Athletic Association club from Templenoe in County Kerry, Ireland. The club competes as a joint divisional side with other clubs from the Kenmare area like Tuosist GAA in the county championship and as an individual club in other competitions. Hurling was by far the stronger of the two codes until the 1920s. However, since then Gaelic football has taken pride of place and hurling is no longer played in the club. Kenmare GAA (Irish: ) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club from Kenmare in County Kerry. The club competes as a joint divisional side with other clubs from the Kenmare area like Templenoe in the underage county championship and as an individual club in senior competitions including the Kerry county senior football championship.
