Tuomas Seppälä
Tuomas Seppälä is a Finnish guitarist, keyboardist, and composer, best known as a founding member and main composer of the Finnish symphonic power metal band Amberian Dawn. Biography Seppälä started playing piano at the age of five, and in his teen years he got interested in 1980s rock, pop and heavy metal, including Ritchie Blackmore, Ronnie James Dio, Yngwie Malmsteen and ABBA. Seppälä joined the band Virtuocity as a keyboardist in the early 2000s (decade), and when the band disbanded in 2005 he formed a new band called Atheme One with Tommi Kuri and Peter James Goodman, led by his songwriting skills. In 2006, he and Tommi Kuri decided that they wanted to transform the band to include female vocals, but the same compositional style, and found the classical soprano Heidi Parviainen, with whom they formed what would be Amberian Dawn. Seppälä graduated at Helsinki University of Technology in 2000. Discography With Amberian Dawn * ''Amberian Dawn'' (2006) * ''Riv ...

Re-Evolution (album)
''Re-Evolution'' is the fifth studio album by Finnish symphonic metal band Amberian Dawn. This album contains re-recorded songs from their past four albums; ''River of Tuoni'' (2008), ''The Clouds of Northland Thunder'' (2009), ''End of Eden'' (2010), and '' Circus Black'' (2012), each of the tracks remastered with lyrics performed by the band's new vocalist, Päivi "Capri" Virkkunen. Background After the band parted ways with Parviainen in November, the band decided to find a new vocalist. They announced in December 2012 that their new vocalist would be Capri Virkkunen, a Finnish singer with 2 solo albums released to her name. Capri performs her vocals in a more traditional rock fashion, despite the fact that she is classically trained. To introduce the new vocalist, the band decided to release a compilation album of old songs but with the vocals re-recorded by Capri. Before the album's release, "Kokko - Eagle of Fire" was released as a single in May 2013, which was preceded by a ...

Circus Black
''Circus Black'' is the fourth full-length album by Finnish symphonic power metal band Amberian Dawn. Stratovarius vocalist Timo Kotipelto provides lead vocals on "Cold Kiss" and keyboardist Jens Johansson (Stratovarius, Dio, Yngwie Malmsteen’s Rising Force) contributed a keyboard solo on "Crimson Flower." The band commented on the album: "Circus Black is the most impressive AD album so far. Musically it represents the most sophisticated and most symphonic edge of AD-music. There’s more diversity on this album than never before. This is the first time we used a real choir and we gathered some really excellent professional opera singers together to be able to achieve the best sounding choir possible. This choir was conducted by Mikko P. Mustonen from Pathos Music. He also arranged the choir and orchestral parts. We managed once again to get some world-class guests on this album. So, the production is our biggest so far and the final polish on this album was given by Teropekka ...
