Tuomas Aho
Tuomas Aho (born 27 May 1981) is a Finnish former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. He made more than 300 appearances in the Veikkausliiga, and had a short stint abroad with Danish Superliga club AGF. Career Early years Aho played youth football for KeuPa, Kumu JT, FC Kouvola and FC Kuusankoski. He made his senior debut for the latter in the 1998 season. He made his debut in the Veikkausliiga on 27 June 1999 for MyPa in a match against FC Jazz. He won the Finnish Cup with the club in 2004. AGF On 23 December 2004, Aho signed with Danish Superliga club AGF after his contract with MyPa had expired. He made his debut on 20 March 2005, coming on as an substitute in stoppage time for Tobias Grahn in a 2–1 home win over Nordsjælland. He played his first full game on 7 May in a 3–1 away loss to AaB. HIFK Fotboll
HIFK Fotboll or IFK Helsingfors is an association football section of HIFK, a sports club based in Helsinki, Finland. The men's football team competes in the highest tier of Finnish football, Veikkausliiga. Their home ground is the Bolt Arena. History Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna i Helsingfors was formed on 15 October 1897 by Georges Doubitsky, a 15-year-old student at the Svenska Reallyceum school in Helsinki. In those early years the club specialised in athletics, football and bandy. The football section was established in 1907, the same year that the Football Association of Finland was founded. The Danish Superliga ( da, Superligaen, ) is the current Danish football championship tournament, and administered by the Danish Football Association. It is the highest football league in Denmark and is currently contested by 12 teams each year, with two teams relegated. 2008 Finnish Cup ( fi, Suomen Cup) was the 54th season of the main annual football competition in Finland. It was organized as a single-elimination knock–out tournament. Participation in the competition is voluntary. Veikkausliiga side IFK Mariehamn, for example, decided not to register for the tournament, as well as some Ykkönen teams. Depending on their position within the league system, teams entered in different rounds. Clubs with teams in Kolmonen or an inferior league, as well as Veterans and Junior teams, started the competition in the First Round.
