Tuntum Esporte Clube, known as Tuntum, is a Brazilian football club based in Tuntum, Maranhão state. Founded in 2021, the club plays in the Campeonato Maranhense. History Founded on 1 June 2021, the club won a spot in the year's after ceased their activities and allowed the new club to use their CNPJ. During their first competition, the club achieved promotion to the Campeonato Maranhense, reaching the finals but losing the title to Cordino. Tuntum won the title of the 2021 Copa Federação Maranhense de Futebol after defeating Juventude Samas in the finals, and opted to play in the 2022 Copa do Brasil. Sociedade Esportiva Juventude, usually known as Juventude Samas, Juventude-MA or simply Juventude, is a Brazilian football club from São Mateus do Maranhão, Maranhão. Juventude Samas is currently ranked fourth among Maranhão teams in CBF's national club ranking, at 103rd place overall. History Founded in 1979 in the city of Caxias, Juventude only played amateur competitions until 2005, when it played in the Campeonato Maranhense Second Division. After finishing second, the club achieved promotion and played the 2006 Campeonato Maranhense, but finished in the last position and later went to inactivity. 2022 Copa Do Brasil
The 2022 Copa do Brasil (officially the Copa Intelbras do Brasil 2022 for sponsorship reasons) was the 34th edition of the Copa do Brasil football competition. It was held between 22 February and 19 October 2022. The competition was contested by 92 teams, either qualified by participating in their respective state championships (70), by the 2022 CBF ranking (10), by the 2021 Copa do Nordeste (1), by the 2021 Copa Verde (1), by the 2021 Série B (1) or those qualified for 2022 Copa Libertadores (9).
