Tunji Awajobi
Tunji Femi Awojobi (born July 30, 1973) is a retired Nigerian professional basketball player. A former boxer, Awojobi graduated from Boston University in 1997. Following graduation, he played in several European countries, most notably in Israel. Awojobi was also a member of the Nigeria national basketball team, Nigerian national team, and participated in the 1998 FIBA World Championship, 1998 and 2006 FIBA World Championship. His best achievement in European basketball was winning the ULEB Cup as the starting center for Hapoel Jerusalem B.C., Hapoel Jerusalem from Israel. In the finals, Jerusalem beat Real Madrid Baloncesto, Real Madrid 83:72. College career Awojobi played college basketball at Boston University (BU) for four years (1993–1997). He is the first player in New England college basketball history to record 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. Power Forward (basketball)
The power forward (PF), also known as the four or strong forward, is a position in basketball. Power forwards play a role similar to centers. When on offense, they typically play with their backs towards the basket. When on defense, they typically position themselves under the basket in a zone defense or against the opposing power forward in man-to-man defense. The power forward position entails a variety of responsibilities, one of which is rebounding. Many power forwards are noted for their mid-range jump-shot, and several players have become very accurate from . Earlier, these skills were more typically exhibited in the European style of play. Some power forwards known as stretch fours, have since extended their shooting range to three-point field goals.
