Tunghai University
Tunghai University (THU; ) is the oldest private university in Taiwan, established in 1955. It was founded by the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia (UBCHEA). It is located in Xitun District, Taichung, Taiwan. According to ''Times Higher Education''s Impact Rankings 2020, the university is rated as the most impactful private university in Taiwan and third in the country. The first president, :zh:曾約農, Beauson Tseng, said "Pioneering will be our watchword", hoping that Tunghai would become an outstanding and innovative university. Tunghai became the first university in Taiwan to introduce universal AI education, AWS-powered innovation school and the first in Central Taiwan to establish a Chinese Language Center. West China Union University
The West China Union University ( zh, t=華西協合大學), also called West China University or Huaxi University, was a private university in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. It was the product of the collective efforts of four Protestant, denominational, missionary boards —American Baptist Foreign Mission Society (American Baptist Churches USA), American Methodist Episcopal Mission (Methodist Episcopal Church), Friends' Foreign Mission Association (British Quakers) and Canadian Methodist Mission (Methodist Church of Canada)— and eventually became a division of the West China Educational Union, which was created in 1906. Soochow University (), also known as Suzhou University, is a public university in Suzhou (Soochow), China. Its root can be traced to the original Soochow University (東吳大學) founded by Methodists in 1900, which was later split and merged with a couple of institutions. University of Shanghai, also known as Shanghai College and Hujiang University (), was a university established by the American Baptist Missionary Union and the Southern Baptist Convention in Shanghai. It was the predecessor of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology. Nanjing University
Nanjing University (NJU; ) is a national public research university in Nanjing, Jiangsu. It is a member of C9 League and a Class A Double First Class University designated by the Chinese central government. Huachung University () was a Christian university in Wuhan, in China's Yangtze valley, originally called Boone University, was founded by the union of several Christian universities in 1924 and renamed Huachung in 1929. Hangchow University
Hangchow University (), also spelled as Zhijiang University and formerly known as Hangchow Christian College, Hangchow College and Hangchow Presbyterian College, is a defunct Protestant missionary university in China, which is one of the predecessors of Zhejiang University. Founded as Ningpo Boy’s Boarding School by Divie Bethune McCartee and colleagues of Northern Presbyterian Church in Ningbo in 1845, the university was one of the oldest missionary schools in China before it was shut down in 1952. Ginling College
Ginling College (), also known by its pinyin romanization as Jinling College or Jinling Women's College, is a women's college of Nanjing Normal University in Nanjing, China. It offers both bachelor's and master's degrees. It offers six undergraduate majors: applied English, accounting, financial management, labor and social welfare, food science and engineering, and food quality and safety.
