Tugboat Taylor
Dickie Dean Taylor (December 9, 1945 – November 8, 2017) was an American professional wrestler who was best known as Tugboat Taylor in the Global Wrestling Federation in Texas. Early career Taylor started in the Marine Corps in 1964 and fought in the Vietnam War. He was discharged in 1968 and moved back to Clinton, Iowa as a lab technician. He coached the Marine Corp and Navy Wrestling and Boxing Teams at Treasure lsland in San Francisco. In 1972, he was supposed to be in the Olympics as a power-lifter. Professional wrestling career In 1979, he was trained by Johnny Valentine and made his debut that year. He worked for Mid-South Wrestling for a few years in the early 1980s, Central States Wrestling and Texas All-Star Wrestling. Maquoketa, Iowa
Maquoketa () is a city in Jackson County, Iowa, United States. Located on the Maquoketa River, it is the county seat of Jackson County. U.S. Route 61 adjoins the city, which therefore hosts traffic between Dubuque and the Quad Cities. Iowa Highways 62 and 64 also pass through the city. Maquoketa Caves State Park is located a few miles northwest of Maquoketa. The population was 6,128 at the time of the 2020 census. History Maquoketa was originally called Springfield, and under the latter name was laid out in 1838. The present name, after the Maquoketa River, was adopted in 1844. The river's name derives from ''Maquaw-Autaw'', which means "Bear River" in Meskwaki. The Davenport and St. Paul Railroad was extended to Maquoketa in 1870 prompting growth. John Frenkel III (born October 21, 1959) is an American retired professional wrestler, better known by his ring name, "Hollywood" John Tatum. Tatum is best known for his appearances with the Texas-based promotion World Class Championship Wrestling in the 1980s. Early life Frankel was born in Mobile, Alabama, but was raised in Pensacola, Florida. He was a childhood friend of wrestlers Robert Gibson, Percy Pringle and Michael Hayes. Shawn Hernandez (born February 11, 1973) is an American professional wrestler. He is best known for his time with Impact Wrestling, where he performed under the ring name Hernandez. He is an eight-time tag team champion, having won the Impact World Tag Team Championship five times, the NWA World Tag Team Championship twice and IWA World Tag Team Championship once. Wrestling International New Generations (W*ING) was a Japanese professional wrestling promotion specialized in deathmatches. History After leaving Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling in the summer of 1991, Kazuyoshi Osako and Kiyoshi "Mickey" Ibaragi founded Wrestling International New Generations (W*ING), with Osako as President and Ibaragi as Vice President. They would also lure away Mr. Pogo and Víctor Quiñones from FMW, taking away their number one heel and booker/talent exchanger.
