Tuen Mun Sports Association (; also known as Tuen Mun) is a Hong Kong football club which currently competes in the Hong Kong Second Division. It is run by the Tuen Mun District Council. The club plays its home matches at Siu Lun Sports Ground. History Tuen Mun won the runners-up of the Hong Kong Second Division in the season 2009–10 and qualified for promotion to the Hong Kong First Division for the first time in the 2010–11 season. The club spent a couple of years at the top flight before spending a year on hiatus in 2013–14. They later rejoined the second tier of the Hong Kong football pyramid in 2014–15. 2012–13 season After gaining two season's experiences in the First Division, Tuen Mun played with an impressive start in the season 2012–13. After the sixth round, they climbed to third in the league table. Lau Wong-fat
Lau Wong-fat, GBM, GBS, OBE, JP (; 15 October 1936 – 23 July 2017) was a Hong Kong businessman and politician. He had been the long-time chairman of the Rural Council, the most powerful organ representing the interests of the New Territories indigenous inhabitants from 1980 to 2015. He was also a member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong from 1985 to 2016. From 2009 to 2012 he was a non-official member of the Executive Council of Hong Kong. Ling Cong () is a former Chinese professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Happy Valley In the 2008–09 season, Lin Cong scored 15 goals for Happy Valley and was the club's top scorer. On 5 May 2010, Ling Cong was questioned by the Independent Commission Against Corruption over match fixing. He missed the club's training but team official said he pulled a muscle. Tuen Mun
Tuen Mun or Castle Peak is an area near the mouth of Tuen Mun River and Castle Peak Bay in the New Territories, Hong Kong. It was one of the earliest settlements in what is now Hong Kong and can be dated to the Neolithic period. In the more recent past, it was home to many Tanka fishermen who gathered at Castle Peak Bay. Tuen Mun is now a modern, mainly residential area in the north-west New Territories. As of 2011, 487,546 live in Tuen Mun and over 95% of them are Chinese. The Hong Kong Football Association Limited (), often abbreviated to the HKFA, is the governing body of association football in Hong Kong. Hong Kong Third 'District' Division League was a division of the third overall tier of the Hong Kong football league system organised by the Hong Kong Football Association in Hong Kong, along with Hong Kong Third 'A' Division League. It was folded in 2012 as Hong Kong Third 'A' Division League and Hong Kong Third 'District' Division League are merged into one. Hong Kong Third 'District' Division League is introduced in 2002. Yip Tsz Chun
Yip Tsz Chun (; born 15 May 1985 in Hong Kong) is a former Hong Kong professional footballer who currently plays for Hong Kong First Division club Yuen Long. He is also the head coach of the club. Yip mainly plays as a striker but has also played as a left winger on many occasions. He was also a member of the Hong Kong national futsal team. Early years Yip was born in Hong Kong. When he was young, he joined Hong Kong First Division team South China youth academy. However, after he finished the secondary studies, he was forced to stop his professional football career due to injuries. Hong Kong Second Division League () is the third level of football league in Hong Kong founded in 1909. The top two teams are promoted to the Hong Kong First Division. Competition format * Each team plays the other teams twice, one home and one away game. The ticket profits go to the home team. If there are two matches in the same stadium on the day, the profits are shared between the two home teams. * Since most of the teams do not have a home ground, the matches will be playing on different grounds.
