Năsăud (; german: Nassod, ''Nußdorf''; hu, Naszód) is a town in Bistrița-Năsăud County in Romania located in the historical region of Transylvania. The town administers two villages, Liviu Rebreanu (until 1958 ''Prislop''; ''Priszlop'') and Lușca (''Szamospart''). Nicolae Drăganu
Nicolae Drăganu (18 February 1884 – 18 December 1939) was an Austro-Hungarian-born Romanian linguist, philologist, and literary historian. Biography Born in Zagra, Bistrița-Năsăud County, into a Greek-Catholic family, he attended primary school in his native village, followed by the Gymnasium in nearby Năsăud. Early on, he developed a reverence for local native George Coșbuc, on whose literary beginnings he later shed light.Gherman, p. 135 In 1902, he entered the literature faculty of Budapest University. There, he studied classical languages and Romanian language and literature. He soon earned a doctorate, in 1906, on the composition of Romanian words. George Barițiu National College
__NOTOC__ George Barițiu National College ( ro, Colegiul Național George Barițiu) is a high school located at 10 Emil Isac Street, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, named after George Bariț. Nearly a year after the union of Transylvania with Romania, the school opened in October 1919 by order of the Directing Council, making it the first Romanian high school in Cluj. Alexandru Ciura was the inaugural director. The school periodical was published beginning in 1923. In 1940, following the Second Vienna Award, which returned Northern Transylvania, including Cluj, to Hungary, two Romanian sections functioned in the same building, one for boys and another for girls, the latter until 1942; neither used the Barițiu name. In 1941, these were merged into a co-educational state school. In 1944, after the Hungarian occupation ended, the old name was restored and the school initially operated with eight classes of boys. It was then co-educational from 1945 to 1947.
