Ben Tudhope
Ben Tudhope (born 13 December 1999) is an Australian Paralympian who has competed in para-snowboard cross at three Winter Paralympics 2014 to 2022. His selection at the age of 14 at the 2014 Winter Paralympics meant that he became Australia's youngest Winter Paralympian, replacing Michael Milton. He was the youngest competitor at the 2014 Winter Paralympic Games from any country. He also competed at the 2018 Winter Paralympics. At the 2022 Winter Paralympics, he won the bronze medal in the Men's Snowboard Cross SB-LL2. Personal Ben Tudhope was born with cerebral palsy due to a lack of oxygen to the brain during his birth and damage caused to the white matter in his brain, which caused hemiplegia on the left side of his body and damage connecting nerve tissue vital for movement. Daniel Tudhope
Daniel "Danny" Tudhope (born 1 December 1985) is a Group 1-winning Scottish jockey. He is stable jockey to David O'Meara, for whom he has won most of his major races. Background Tudhope grew up in Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland. He had no family connection with racing, and only considered a career as a jockey when it was suggested to him by a careers advisor. He graduated from the Northern Racing College and was apprentice to Declan Carroll in Yorkshire. Career He had his first professional rides in 2003, and won his first race at San Rossore, Pisa, Italy in October of that year as part of an initiative for young riders to compete across Europe. It wasn't until 2004 that he registered his first domestic victory at Southwell. His first black type victory was not until several years after that, when he won the 2008 Listed Land o' Burns Fillies Stakes at Ayr on an outside ride for Alan Berry. George Ranken Tudhope
George Ranken Tudhope MD FRSE DPH (1893–1955) was a 20th-century Scottish pathologist and medical author. The George Ranken Tudhope Prize for best student in Pathology at the University of Dundee is named in his honour. Life He was born on 7 July 1893 in Newport-on-Tay in Fife the son of George Tudhope. He was educated at the High School of Dundee. He studied Medicine at the University of St Andrews graduating MB ChB in 1918. From 1919 to 1955 he taught Pathology at University College, Dundee, then a constituent college of St Andrews. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh in 1947. His proposers were Robert Campbell Garry, Edward Thomas Copson, Robert Percival Cook and Alexander David Peacock. James Brockett Tudhope
James Brockett Tudhope (March 21, 1858 – February 3, 1936) was a Canadian manufacturer and politician. Tudhope was born in Oro Township, Canada West in 1858, the son of William Tudhope, a carriage manufacturer, and Mary Reid. In 1897, he formed the Tudhope Carriage Company in Orillia with his brothers. In 1902, with partner Harry Anderson, Tudhope established a company which manufactured agricultural implements. Following a fire at the carriage factory, in 1909, he formed the Tudhope Motor Company which manufactured automobiles. Production was converted for military use during World War I and vehicle production was not resumed following the war. In 1928, a new company was formed that produced specialty metal products, such as electrical appliances. Following his death in 1936, his son took over the operation of the company. John Henry Tudhope & bar (17 April 1891 - 12 October 1956) was a South African flying ace credited with 10 victories in World War I. After the war, he emigrated to Canada and joined the RCAF. Tudhope surveyed routes for the Trans-Canada Air Lines, receiving the McKee Trophy for his work in 1930. In 1937, he flew the first dawn to dusk flight across Canada, from Montreal to Vancouver, British Columbia. He became president of the first Aviation Insurance Group in Canada.
