Tsuen Wan West
Tsuen Wan West () is situated at the west of Tsuen Wan, New Territories, Hong Kong, along Castle Peak Road between Yau Kom Tau and Chai Wan Kok. There are mainly private residential estates, including Belvedere Garden, Bayview Garden, Greenview Court, the Panorama and Serenade Cove. The largest one is Belvedere Gardens. Previously, a bus terminus called "Tsuen Wan West Bus Terminus" was located in Tsuen Wan West, but it was later relocated to Bayview Garden after the construction of Bayview Garden was completed. Tsuen Wan
Tsuen Wan (formerly also spelled Tsun Wan) is a town built on a bay in the western New Territories of Hong Kong, opposite of Tsing Yi Island across Rambler Channel. The market town of Tsuen Wan emerged from the surrounding villages and fleets of fishing boats in the area. The now-crowded city is around the present-day Tsuen Wan station of the MTR. Its coastline was further extended through land reclamation. In earlier days, it was known as Tsin Wan (淺灣) which means shallow bay, and later renamed to Tsuen Wan. New Territories
The New Territories is one of the three main regions of Hong Kong, alongside Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula. It makes up 86.2% of Hong Kong's territory, and contains around half of the population of Hong Kong. Historically, it is the region described in the Convention for the Extension of Hong Kong Territory. Castle Peak Road
Castle Peak Road is the longest road in Hong Kong. Completed in 1920, it runs in the approximate shape of an arc of a semi-circle. It runs West from Tai Po Road in Sham Shui Po, New Kowloon, to Tuen Mun, then north to Yuen Long then east to Sheung Shui, in the very north of the New Territories. It is divided into 22 sections. It serves south, west and north New Territories, being one of the most distant roads in early Hong Kong. Name The road was named after Castle Peak, a peak in the western New Territories. Yau Kom Tau, sometimes transliterated as Yau Kam Tau (; ) is an area in the Tsuen Wan District of Hong Kong. Yau Kom Tau Village and Tsuen Wan Sam Tsuen are located in this area. Chai Wan Kok
Chai Wan Kok () is an area in Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong. It is located at the west end of Tsuen Wan Town. While its southeast is industrial area, its hilly northeast and coastal southwest are residential. It is on the main access between Tuen Mun and Tsuen Wan. Belvedere Garden
Belvedere Garden () is one of the largest-scale private housing estates in Tsuen Wan, New Territories, Hong Kong, located at the seaside of Tsuen Wan West. Developed by Cheung Kong Holdings, it comprises 6,016 flats in 19 high rise residential towers developed in 3 phases. It was designed to be a self-contained community and was designed with a shopping arcade and a wet market. History The estate was completed between 1987 and 1991.
