Tsing Yi Promenade
Tsing Yi Promenade () is a promenade along the northeastern seafront of Tsing Yi Island, Hong Kong. It was built in stages from 2001 to 2004. The Promenade faces Rambler Channel, from Greenfield Garden, through Tsing Yi Pier and Maritime Square to Cheung Fat Estate. At the end of this promenade is the Tsing Yi Northeast Park. The promenade spans and occupies along the waterfront. Many people use this as a recreational area for jogging, exercising, and practising T'ai chi. There is a marvellous sea view for people to enjoy at night. Tsing Yi, sometimes referred to as Tsing Yi Island, is an island in the urban area of Hong Kong, to the northwest of Hong Kong Island and south of Tsuen Wan. With an area of , the island has extended drastically by reclamation along almost all its natural shore and the annexation of Nga Ying Chau () and Chau Tsai. Rambler Channel
Rambler Channel is a body of water in Hong Kong that separates Tsing Yi Island from Tsuen Wan and Kwai Chung in the New Territories. The channel separates the two landmasses by 900 metres at its widest point. Historically, the channel was known as Tsing Yi Mun (青衣門) and Tsing Yi Channel (青衣海峽). The shoreline of the channel has changed rapidly in the last several decades, owing to the development of Tsuen Wan New Town and the Kwai Chung Container Port. Before extensive reclamation, Gin Drinkers Bay was located along the eastern shore of the channel, and Tsing Yi Bay was located along the western shore. Tsing Yi Pier
Tsing Yi Pier () or Tsing Yi Ferry Terminus () was a ferry pier on Tsing Yi Island, Hong Kong. It replaced Tsing Yi Town old pier that was buried during land reclamation. There were ferries to Tsuen Wan and Central. The service ceased to exist and the pier was free for public use thereafter. Maritime Square is a four-storey shopping centre located on Tsing Yi Island in Hong Kong. It was built and is owned by MTR Corporation (MTRC) in conjunction with the opening of Tsing Yi station. History The shopping centre opened on 1 April 1999 and has a floor area of . The landlords claimed in December 2004 that daily pedestrian traffic at the mall is 170,000. The following is an overview of public housing estates on Tsing Yi, Hong Kong including Home Ownership Scheme (HOS), Private Sector Participation Scheme (PSPS), Flat-for-Sale Scheme (FFSS), Tenant Purchase Scheme (TPS) and Subsidised Sale Flats Project (SSFP) estates.
