Tsing Chau Tsai Peninsula
Tsing Chau Tsai Peninsula () is the peninsula located at the northeast of Lantau Island, New Territories, Hong Kong, including Yam O, To Kau Wan, Tai Tsing Chau, Tsing Chau Tsai and Penny's Bay. Administration Tsing Chau Tsai Peninsula administratively belongs to Tsuen Wan District, while the remaining areas of Lantau Island belong to Islands District. It is an exclave and it is only connected by Kap Shui Mun Bridge with other part of Tsuen Wan District, like Ma Wan. Features A few areas in there have been developed. Sunny Bay station is constructed at the reclaimed land of Yam O to act as an interchange between Tung Chung line and Disneyland Resort line of MTR. Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is built at the reclaimed land of Penny's Bay, formerly the shipyard area. Sunny Bay Station
Sunny Bay () is an MTR station in Yam O. It is between and stations. The station is an interchange station between the and the to Hong Kong Disneyland. The station was originally to be named ''Yam O'' (). ''Yam O'' was not used probably because of its ominous connotations (Cantonese ''Yam'' is more commonly known to English speakers as Mandarin ''yin'', which means darkness or a negative quality. Yam O is ''yin'' since it is at the north side of a mountain). The station was the first MTR station to have automatic platform gates (APG) installed on the edge of its platforms. These gates range from to the height of the platform screen doors found in other MTR stations. Luk Keng Village
Luk Keng Village or Luk Keng Tsuen () is a village located on the Yam O peninsula on Lantau Island in the New Territories of Hong Kong, which links to Cheung Sok, a nearby uninhabited island, via a sandbank. Although nearby areas including Sunny Bay station have been developed, Luk Keng Village is still preserved as an undeveloped rural heritage area. Kwai Tsing Container Terminals
Kwai Tsing Container Terminals is the main port facilities in the reclamation along Rambler Channel between Kwai Chung and Tsing Yi Island, Hong Kong. It evolved from four berths of Kwai Chung Container Port () completed in the 1970s. It later expanded with two berths in the 1980s. Two additional terminals are added adjoining to Stonecutters Island in the 1990s and was renamed Kwai Chung Container Terminals. Disneyland Resort Line
The Disneyland Resort line is a heavy rail MTR line connecting Sunny Bay to the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, coloured pink on the network diagram. It is the seventh line of the former MTR network before the merger of MTR and KCR, and the world's first metro line designed to service a Disney theme park. There are only two stations on this line, Sunny Bay and Disneyland Resort, and the line operates as a shuttle service between these two stations. Sunny Bay station is an interchange station with the Tung Chung line between Tsing Yi and Tung Chung stations. Tung Chung Line
The Tung Chung line is one of the ten lines of the MTR system in Hong Kong, linking the town of Tung Chung with central Hong Kong. A part of the Tung Chung line was built along with the Kap Shui Mun Bridge and the Tsing Ma Bridge. The line currently travels through eight stations in 31 minutes along its route.
