Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila F.C.
Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila Football Club (often known as TTM F.C.) is a South African professional football club based in the town of Thohoyandou in the Limpopo province. The team plays its home matches at the Thohoyandou Stadium. The club purchased the National First Division status of Milano United F.C. in July 2017. The club had previously played in the ABC Motsepe League. Under owner Lawrence Mulaudzi, the club continued to spend its way to the top when in 2020 it purchased the Premier League status of Bidvest Wits, and played in the 2020–21 South African Premier Division. In 2021 they sold their Premier League status to Marumo Gallants, and currently play in the National First Division. In December 2020, CEO Sello Chokoe was accused of fraud and of stealing over R2 million from the club, and was suspended pending a hearing. Peter Mokaba Stadium
The Peter Mokaba Stadium is a football and rugby union stadium in Polokwane (formerly Pietersburg), South Africa, that was used for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. It has a capacity of 45,500 but for the purposes of the 2010 FIFA World Cup the seating capacity was reduced to 41,733. It is named after Peter Mokaba, a former leader of the ANC Youth League. It is located 3 kilometers from the city center and is located just east of the older Peter Mokaba Stadium. The stadium is one of five new stadiums that were built for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Initial plans to upgrade the existing Old Peter Mokaba Stadium were abandoned in favour of the R1,245,000,000 (ZAR) new Peter Mokaba stadium. The stadium was used intensely for training and matches. The National First Division (NFD), officially known as the Motsepe Foundation Championship for sponsorship reasons, is the second-highest league of South African club association football, football after the South African Premier Division. Both the NFD and South African Premier Division are organised by the Premier Soccer League. Thohoyandou ( ve, Ṱhohoyanḓou) is a town in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. It is the administrative centre of Vhembe District Municipality and Thulamela Local Municipality. It is also known for being the former capital of the bantustan of Venda. History Thohoyandou became the capital of the former bantustan of Venda, while Dzanani is the traditional capital of Venda and the home of the VhaVenda kings. Thohoyandou name means "head of the elephant" in the Venda language, and was the name of one of the VhaVenda kings. Thohoyandou was built at Tshiluvhi which was under Khosi vho Netshiluvhi. Limpopo is the northernmost province of South Africa. It is named after the Limpopo River, which forms the province's western and northern borders. Thohoyandou Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in the town of Thohoyandou, in the province of Limpopo, South Africa. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches, and is the home stadium of Venda Football Academy F.C. football club. The stadium has a capacity of 20,000 people. The ABC Motsepe League, previously known as the Vodacom League between 1998 and 2012, was founded in 1998 as the current Second Division and the overall third tier of South African football. The competition is regulated by SAFA, and until 2012 had been sponsored by mobile telecommunications company Vodacom. It features 144 teams in total, divided into 9 divisions, borders decided by the 9 geo-political provinces of South Africa: Eastern Cape, Free State, KwaZulu Natal, Northern Cape, Western Cape, Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and North West.
