Dĩ An
Dĩ An is a city of Bình Dương Province in the Southeast region of Vietnam, about 20 km north of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon). It is 1,706 km by rail from Hanoi. At the 2009 census the city had a population of 73,859. The town covers 60 km². Dĩ An consists of seven districts: Dĩ An, An Bình, Bình An, Bình Thắng, Đông Hòa, Tân Bình and Tân Đông Hiệp. Transport The city is the proposed junction for the Trans-Asian Railway that would connect half a dozen railways in southeast Asia, starting with Cambodia. This line would cross the Cambodian border near Lộc Ninh. Dĩ An is an important destination of the national railway with two railway stations: Dĩ An and Sóng Thần. Asian Women's U23 Volleyball Championship
The Asian Women's U23 Volleyball Championship is an international volleyball competition in Asia and Oceania contested by the under 23 Women's national teams of the members of Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), the sport's continent governing body. The first championship was held in Pasig, Philippines, in 2015. The current champion is China women's national under-23 volleyball team, China, which won the second title at the 2019 Asian Women's U23 Volleyball Championship, 2019 tournament. The tournament have been won by two national teams: China women's national under-23 volleyball team, China with two titles and Japan women's national under-23 volleyball team, Japan with one title. The 2019 Asian Women's U23 Volleyball Championship, 2019 Championship took place in Hà Nội, Vietnam, from 13 to 21 July. The 2021 Championship was cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic. 2018 Asian Women's Volleyball Cup
The 2018 Asian Women's Volleyball Cup, so-called 2018 AVC Cup for Women was the sixth edition of the Asian Cup, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Thailand Volleyball Association (TVA). The tournament was held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand from 16 to 23 September 2018. As hosts, Thailand automatically qualified for the tournament, while the remaining 9 teams, qualified from the 2017 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship in Biñan and Muntinlupa, Philippines. Qualification The ten AVC member associations participated in the tournament with Thailand already qualified as host country, and the nine remaining teams qualified from the 2017 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship. Volleyball At The 2017 Southeast Asian Games – Women's Tournament
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court. The receiving team must not let the ball be grounded within their court. The 2017 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship was the nineteenth edition of the Asian Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc. (LVPI). The tournament was held in both Biñan and Muntinlupa, Philippines from 9 to 17 August 2017. Qualification The fourteen AVC member associations were submit their women's national team to the 2017 Asian Volleyball Championship. The fourteen AVC member associations were from four zonal associations, including, Central Asia (4 teams), East Asia (5 teams), Oceania (2 teams), and Southeast Asia (3 teams).
