Trøndelag Commuter Rail
The Trøndelag Commuter Rail ( no, Trønderbanen, ) is a commuter train service operating in Trøndelag county, Norway. It was operated by Vy (formerly Norwegian State Railways (NSB)) with Class 92 diesel multiple units, until 7 June 2020 when SJ Norge took over the contract until 2030. The service provides a commuter service connecting Trondheim to its suburbs, between towns in Innherred and as an airport rail link for Trondheim Airport, Værnes. Although passenger services have operated along the lines since 1864, the commuter train was created with an increase of service with existing rolling stock in 1993. In 2019, the system was used by 1.4 million passengers. The main service operates from Lerkendal in Trondheim via Trondheim Central Station and Trondheim Airport Station to Steinkjer on the Nordland Line. Trøndelag
Trøndelag (; sma, Trööndelage) is a county in the central part of Norway. It was created in 1687, then named Trondhjem County ( no, Trondhjems Amt); in 1804 the county was split into Nord-Trøndelag and Sør-Trøndelag by the King of Denmark-Norway, and the counties were reunited in 2018 after a vote of the two counties in 2016. Trondheim Airport Station
Trondheim Airport Station ( IATA code: TRD), also known as Værnes Station ( no, Værnes holdeplass), is a railway station located within the terminal complex of Trondheim Airport, Værnes in Stjørdal municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. Situated on the Nordland Line, it serves both express trains and the Trøndelag Commuter Rail both operated by SJ Norge. The station was opened on 15 November 1994 along with a new terminal at the airport, making it the first airport rail link in the Nordic Countries. The station cost , and was built along the existing railway line. In each direction, the station handles one to two hourly commuter rail services, and three daily express services. Lademoen Station
Lademoen or Lademoen/Nedre Elvehavn is a railway station on the Nordland Line at Nedre Elvehavn in Trondheim, Norway. The station was opened on 7 January 2007 and is served by the local trains Trøndelag Commuter Rail by SJ Norge. It is located 0.94 km from Trondheim Central Station and at 6 meters above sea level. The station serves the areas of Nedre Elvehavn and Nyhavna. Norwegian State Railways
Vygruppen, branded as Vy, is a government-owned railway company which operates most passenger train services and many bus services in Norway. The company is owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Transport. Its sub-brands include Vy Buss coach services, CargoNet freight trains and the Swedish train transport company Tågkompaniet. In 2009, NSB carried 52 million train passengers and 104 million bus passengers. On 24 April 2019, passenger train and bus services were rebranded as Vy. Levanger is a municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is part of the district of Innherred. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Levanger. Östersund Central Station
Östersund Central Station ( sv, Östersund centralstation) or Östersund C is the main railway station serving Östersund, Sweden. It is located on the Middle Line (''Mittbananand'') and the Inland Line (''Inlandsbanan'') and is served by SJ, Norrtåg and Inlandsbanan- Trains leave for Stockholm a couple of times per day and once a day by Inlandsbanan to Gällivare (a one-day travel) or to Mora. Central Line (Sweden)
The Central Line ( sv, Mittbanan) is a long railway line between Sundsvall and Storlien in central Sweden (Västernorrland County and Jämtland County). It continues as the long Meråker Line through Norway to Hell Station and onwards to Trondheim. The railway shares line with Inland Line between Brunflo and Östersund while the line between Ånge and Bräcke is double track. The entire line is electrified at , but the Norwegian section is not. Meråker Line
The Meråker Line ( no, Meråkerbanen) is a railway line which runs through the district and valley of Stjørdalen in Trøndelag county, Norway. The line branches off from the Nordland Line at Hell Station and runs eastwards to the Norway–Sweden border, with Storlien Station acting as the border station. From there, the line continues as the Central Line. Traditionally, the Meråker Line was regarded as the whole line from Trondheim Central Station to the border, a distance of . Mittnabotåget
Mittnabotåget is/was a regional train service connecting Trondheim in Norway with Sundsvall in Sweden. It includes trains operated by Veolia Transport on the Mittlinjen between Sundsvall and Östersund in Sweden, and Norges Statsbaner’s cross-border Nabotåget services from Östersund on to Trondheim in Norway. The line between Trondheim and Östersund operates using BM92 diesel multiple units, with two daily departures each way. The line operated by Veolia in Sweden uses electrical Regina units. Røros Line
The Røros Line ( no, Rørosbanen) is a railway line which runs through the districts of Hedmarken, Østerdalen and Gauldalen in Innlandet and Trøndelag, Norway. The line branches off from the Dovre Line at Hamar Station and runs a more easterly route to Støren Station, where the two lines meet again. Støren Station ( no, Støren stasjon) is a railway station located in the village of Støren in the municipality of Midtre Gauldal in Trøndelag county, Norway.
