Edward Scott Trunk (born August 8, 1964) is an American music historian, radio personality, talk show host, and author, best known as the host of several hard rock- and heavy metal-themed radio and television shows. Biography Trunk was born on August 8, 1964, in Summit, New Jersey. He grew up in Madison, New Jersey, where he attended Madison High School. As a teenager, Trunk became a fan of Kiss, Raspberries, and other bands including Aerosmith, Rush, UFO and Black Sabbath. During high school, he began to write reviews of records for school credit and soon found his passion in music. Around 1986, Trunk became an employee of Megaforce Records which had signed both Metallica and Anthrax. He became vice president of the company at age 25. Gustav Trunk
Gustav Trunk (24 July 1871 in Waldprechtsweier - 23 April 1936 in Karlsruhe) was a three-time List of rulers of Baden, President of Baden. He was a lawyer by occupation and was a member of the German Centre Party. In 1897, Gustav Trunk married Emma Eppel in Baden-Baden. He studied law in Berlin and Heidelberg, graduating in 1900. Heavily influenced by his model, Franz Xavier Lenders, Trunk joined the German Centre Party, Centre Party. Jonny Trunk, born Jonathan Benton-Hughes, is an English writer, broadcaster and DJ as well as the owner and founder of Trunk Records. Career Trunk Records Jonny Trunk founded Trunk Records in 1995, a cult British label that specialises in film music, library music, early electronics and exotic, nostalgic recordings. It was the first label to release music from cult horror films such as ''The Wicker Man''. On his label he has also released ''Dirty Fan Male'', an album based on his own experiences organising various glamour models' fan clubs including that of his sister, Emma Benton-Hughes, who modelled under the name Eve Vorley. Herman Trunk
Herman Trunk (31 October 1894 – 16 August 1963), also known as Herman Trunk Jr., was an American painter active in the modernist movement of the 1920s and 1930s. He exhibited alongside some of the most famous artists of the day. At present his contributions to figurative abstract art are being recovered by scholars and critics. His work was part of the painting event in the art competition at the 1932 Summer Olympics. Biography Born in New York City to a family of printmakers, Trunk spent much of his life in the family’s home at 135 Essex Street in Brooklyn. He became interested in art while a child at the Dominican Convent School, and as a young adult took night classes in art at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. Peter Trunk (May 17, 1936, Frankfurt – December 31, 1973, New York) was a German jazz double-bassist. Trunk played late in the 1950s in concert and on radio with Kenny Clarke, Stan Getz, Albert Mangelsdorff, and Zoot Sims. During this time he also recorded with Hans Koller. In the 1960s, he worked with Benny Bailey, Don Byas, Klaus Doldinger, Dusko Goykovich, Volker Kriegel, Tete Montoliu, Manfred Schoof, Lucky Thompson and Ben Webster. In 1972 he recorded with Kurt Edelhagen. On New Year's Eve, 1973, he was killed in a car accident. Richard Trunk (born Tauberbischofsheim, 10 February 1879 - died Herrsching, 2 June 1968) was a German composer, pianist, conductor, and critic. Life He studied in Frankfurt with Iwan Knorr before traveling to Munich for further studies with Josef Rheinberger. He accompanied numerous singers (including Eugen Gura), taught singing for a time, and served as music critic for the ''Münchener Post'' from 1907. He was invited to New York City and Newark, New Jersey to conduct the Arion Society in 1912; he returned home with the outbreak of World War I. He later became music critic for the '' Bayrische Staatszeitung'', and taught singing in Cologne from 1920 until 1934. In 1925 he married the singer Maria Delbran. In 1934 he returned to Munich as the president of the Akademie der Tonkunst. He retired to the Ammersee after World War II. Trunk was an early member of the Nazi Party.
