Truckfighters are a Swedish rock band from Örebro, formed in 2001. History Truckfighters was formed in Örebro, Sweden in 2001. After releasing EPs in 2001 and 2002, they recorded a split-EP with local Swedish band Firestone in 2003. In 2005 they released their debut album ''Gravity X'' on both Fuzzorama Records and MeteorCity Records. Their follow-up album, ''Phi'', was released in 2007 by Poison Tree Records in the U.S. and on the Fuzzorama label elsewhere. Their sound has been described as classic desert rock, similar to bands like Dozer, Fu Manchu, and Kyuss. They have been featured on the MTV Sweden show "Fuzz". The band has done extensive touring over the years, playing more than 300 live shows, most of them in Europe. Their first USA tour, in July 2011, included stops in New York, Chicago, Detroit, and Cleveland. Wacken Open Air
Wacken Open Air (, abbreviated as W:O:A) is a rock music, rock music festival, held annually since 1990 on the first weekend of August in the village of Wacken, Schleswig-Holstein, Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Almost all styles and subgenres of hard rock and heavy metal music, metal are represented and hosted. It is now one of the largest heavy metal festivals in the world and one of the largest open-air festivals in Germany. Dozer
Dozer is a stoner rock band from Sweden. History Early years Dozer was formed in the great north in 1995 by Tommi Holappa, Fredrik Nordin, Erik Bäckwall and Magnus Larsson, playing local youth centres and supporting any bands that came to their hometown. In 1996 Magnus Larsson left and Johan Rockner joined the band. In 1998 the band recorded a split EP with the American band Unida. The EP was originally released by MeteorCity and re-issued in 2005. Breakthrough and rise to success While trying to secure a record deal they sent a demo tape to Man's Ruin Records, a highly influential label in the stoner rock scene at the time. Frank Kozik, the owner of Man's Ruin, was thoroughly impressed and the band quickly recorded an album. Blues Pills are a Swedish rock band, formed in Örebro in 2011. The band has released three studio albums, two EPs, three live albums and five singles since its formation. Their latest studio album, ''Holy Moly!'', was released in August 2020 through Nuclear Blast. History Formation and EPs (2011–2013) In 2011, step-brothers Zack Anderson (bass) and Cory Berry (drums), formerly of Radio Moscow, were in Iowa and met singer Elin Larsson, who was staying in California. Electric Guitar
