Trstenik Airport
Trstenik Airfield ( sr, Аеродром Трстеник, Latin: ''Aerodrom Trstenik'') also known as "Odžaci" is a recreational aerodrome in Serbia, 2.5 km from the town of Trstenik, Serbia, Trstenik and 12 km from the spa of Vrnjačka Banja. The airfield is within the closest vicinity (60 kilometres-about 50 minutes by Bus, instead 2 hours 45 mins from Niš Constantine the Great Airport transfer) to the famous Kopaonik mountain ski resort, and is also 20 kilometres from the Goč mountain. The grass runway is wide with concrete runway beginnings on both thresholds in width and in length. Trstenik, Serbia
Trstenik ( sr-cyr, Трстеник, ) is a town and municipality located in the Rasina District of central Serbia. As of 2011 census, the town has 15,329, while the municipality has 42,989 inhabitants. It lies on the West Morava river. History In the Early and Middle Iron Age, the tribe of Triballi inhabited the West Morava. Romans conquered the area in the 1st century AD. Goč (Serbian Cyrillic: Гоч) is a mountainous area in central Serbia, about 15 km south of the spa town of Vrnjačka Banja. Convair CV-440 Metropolitan
The Convair CV-240 is an American airliner that Convair manufactured from 1947 to 1954, initially as a possible replacement for the ubiquitous Douglas DC-3. Featuring a more modern design with cabin pressurization, the 240 series made some inroads as a commercial airliner, and had a long development cycle that produced various civil and military variants. Though reduced in numbers by attrition, various forms of the "Convairliners" continue to fly in the 21st century.
