Troy Schwarze
Troy Schwarze (born 23 December 1981) is a former Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League. He was recruited as the number 53 draft pick (traded by Carlton for Matthew Lappin and number 58, Ian Prendergast), in the 1998 AFL Draft from Dingley. At the time Schwarze was the youngest player on an AFL list at 17 years of age. AFL career Schwarze made his debut for St Kilda in Round 4, 2000 against Melbourne and in his early seasons was a much-maligned player. The turning point in Schwarze's career was in Round 6, 2004 against the Brisbane Lions where he kicked the match-winning goal from 55 metres out in the last moments of the match at Telstra Dome. Schwarze played in St Kilda’s 2004 Wizard Home Loans Cup winning side - St Kilda's second AFL Cup win. His brother, Ben Schwarze, was once also a St Kilda rookie, at the same time as Troy. Dingley Football Club
The Dingley Football and Netball Club is an Australian rules football and netball club located in the southern suburbs of Melbourne. The football teams participates in the Southern Football Netball League, based in the south and south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. History The club was established in 1958 but waited until the following year to join the Caulfield-Oakleigh Football League. When the league merged with the Eastern Suburban FL to form the South East Suburban FL, the club was allocated to B Grade. Dingley moved to the South West Gippsland Football League from 1977 to 1994. They made the Grand Final in 1994 and defeated Cranbourne by 24 points. 1995 saw the SWGFL get absorbed into the Mornington Peninsula Nepean FL and Dingley continued in this competition until the end of 2006. Brisbane Lions
The Brisbane Lions is a professional Australian rules football club based in Brisbane, Queensland, that plays in the Australian Football League (AFL). The club was formed in late 1996 via a merger of the Melbourne-based 1883 foundation VFL club the Fitzroy Lions, and the 1987 Queensland based expansion club the Brisbane Bears, with the colours of maroon, blue, and gold being drawn from both parent clubs. The Lions are one of the most successful AFL club of the 2000s, appearing in four consecutive Grand Finals from 2001 to 2004 and winning three premierships ( 2001, 2002, 2003). The North Melbourne Football Club, nicknamed the Kangaroos, is a professional Australian rules football club. The men's team competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), and the women's team in the AFL Women's (AFLW). The Kangaroos also field a reserves men's team in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Founded in the suburb of North Melbourne in 1869 and based at the Arden Street Oval, it is the 4th oldest club in the competition and one of the oldest surviving clubs in the world. Ben Schwarze
Ben Schwarze (born 24 August 1983) is a former professional Australian rules football player who played for North Melbourne. He is the brother of Troy Schwarze. He was originally Rookie listed from the Sandringham Dragons by St Kilda in the 2002 Rookie Draft, remaining on the Saints list for the 2002 and 2003 seasons. After being delisted by the Saints, Schwarze spent the 2004 season playing with Port Melbourne Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL) before being drafted by the Kangaroos with selection 68 of the 2004 AFL Draft. He made his debut against the Adelaide Crows in Round 7, 2006 at the Telstra Dome. He broke his ribs in that game and was sidelined for four weeks.
