Troy Melton
Troy Wilford Melton (March 2, 1921 – November 15, 1995) was an American stuntman and actor. Early life Born in Jackson, Tennessee, Melton migrated with his family to Los Angeles during the Great Depression. After three years of service in the Army Air Corps during World War II, Melton began picking up acting and stunt work in the late 1940s and early 1950s. Career Melton is one of the founding members of the Stuntmen's Association of Motion Pictures, and his career spanned over 40 years. Notable actors for whom Melton doubled include Roy Rogers, James Colburn, Richard Webb, Gregory Walcott, Duncan Renaldo in ''The Cisco Kid'', Kent Taylor in ''Boston Blackie'' and '' The Rough Riders'', and Martin Landau in '' Mission: Impossible''. Death Melton died in November 1995 of cancer at a hospital in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 74. Stuntmen's Association Of Motion Pictures
The Stuntmen's Association of Motion Pictures (SAMP) is an honorary society of motion picture stunt coordinators, stuntmen, and second unit directors. It was founded in 1961 by Loren Janes, who worked as a stunt double for Steve McQueen, and Richard Geary, who doubled for Robert Vaughn. Membership is by “invitation only” and applicants must be a member of the Screen Actors Guild. It is an exclusively male group, which has named a number of honorary stuntwomen, although they are not listed as full members on the site. Martin James Landau (; June 20, 1928 – July 15, 2017) was an American actor, acting coach, producer, and editorial cartoonist. His career began in the 1950s, with early film appearances including a supporting role in Alfred Hitchcock's ''North by Northwest'' (1959) opposite Cary Grant. He played regular roles in the television series '' Mission: Impossible'' (1966–1969) and '' Space: 1999'' (1975–1977). ''Mannix'' is an American detective television series that ran from 1967 to 1975 on CBS. It was created by Richard Levinson and William Link, and developed by executive producer Bruce Geller. The title character, Joe Mannix, is a private investigator played by actor Mike Connors. Premise During the first season of the series, Joe Mannix works for a large Los Angeles detective agency called Intertect, which was the planned original title of the show. His superior is Lew Wickersham, played by Joseph Campanella. Intertect uses computers to help solve crimes.
