Troy Johnson (footballer)
Troy Johnson (born 26 July 1977) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with the Brisbane Bears in the Australian Football League (AFL). Johnson, a Fremantle Hawks junior, was a Western Australian representative in the AFL Under 18 Championships. He was drafted by Brisbane from South Fremantle and made his AFL debut in the opening round of the 1996 season, against Footscray. The Bears won the game by 87 points, with Johnson contributing four disposals. He kept his spot in the team for the next round, which was against the West Coast Eagles back in his home state, but he didn't register a possession. De-listed for disciplinary reasons, Johnson returned to South Fremantle and took part in their 1997 finals campaign. Troy Johnson (born 1 October 1997) is a New Zealand cricketer. He made his Twenty20 debut for Wellington in the 2018–19 Super Smash on 12 January 2019. He made his first-class debut on 22 February 2020, for Wellington in the 2019–20 Plunket Shield season. In June 2020, he was offered a contract by Wellington ahead of the 2020–21 domestic cricket season. Troy Johnson is an American gospel and soul singer. He got his first break with a track on the ''Blame it on Rio'' soundtrack in 1984, and signed to Motown Records, where he released his first album. He scored a hit in 1986 with "It's You", which peaked at number 65 on ''Billboard''′s Hot R&B Singles chart. After a religious conversion, Johnson began recording gospel music. He put his career on hiatus in the late 1990s to focus on spiritual matters, but returned with his own label, SA Entertainment, on which he has released his most recent, secular, album, which featured a new version of "It's You" - again charting, this time peaking at number 40 on ''Billboard''′s Adult Contemporary chart in 2005.
