Trousdale Estates is a neighborhood of Beverly Hills, California, located in the foothills of the Santa Monica mountains. Trousdale, Kansas
Trousdale is an unincorporated community in Lincoln Township, Edwards County, Kansas, United States. History The community began when a railroad junction was constructed in 1915. It is named for a Newton, Kansas resident who owned land in the vicinity. At its peak it boasted a bank (which closed during the Depression), Trousdale Grade School and High School, several retail establishments, and two grain elevators. A high line was built to the community in 1927 to provide electrical service. A post office was opened in Trousdale in 1916, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1967. In 2006, the Trousdale Methodist Church, a repair shop/parts store, a grain storage facility, and an unmanned fuel retail outlet were the only businesses in addition to family farming operations that were in Trousdale. Trousdale is a ghost town in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma, at an elevation of 960 feet. Trousdale County, also known as Hartsville/Trousdale County, is a county in the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of the 2020 census, the population was 11,615. Its county seat is Hartsville, with which it shares a uniquely formed consolidated city-county government. With an area of just , it is Tennessee's smallest county. Trousdale County is part of the Nashville-Davidson–Murfreesboro–Franklin, TN Metropolitan Statistical Area, although it is located just beyond the ring of "bedroom communities" in the Nashville metropolitan area. Trousdale Place is a historic mansion in Gallatin, Sumner County, Tennessee. It was the home of John H. Bowen, local attorney and member of the United States House of Representatives, and of governor of Tennessee William Trousdale. Description Trousdale Place is a two-story Federal-style brick structure with staggered Flemish-bond brickwork.Tennessee Civil War Trail Marker at Trousdale Place History John Bowen built the house circa 1813. Bowen died in 1822. The site of the house had been part of a North Carolina land grant in lieu of payment to James Trousdale, a veteran of the Revolutionary War. Ann Louise Wagner (née Trousdale, September 13, 1962) is an American politician and diplomat serving as the U.S. representative for Missouri's 2nd congressional district. A member of the Republican Party, she was the United States ambassador to Luxembourg from 2005 to 2009. Her district, based in St. Louis County, is heavily suburban and the state's wealthiest. Christopher Ryan Pask (June 11, 1985 – June 2, 2020) known professionally as Chris Trousdale, was an American singer, dancer and actor. William Trousdale
William Trousdale (September 23, 1790March 27, 1872) was an American soldier and politician. He served as the 13th governor of Tennessee from 1849 to 1851, and was United States Minister to Brazil from 1853 to 1857. He fought under Andrew Jackson in the Creek War, the War of 1812 and the Second Seminole War, and commanded the U.S. Fourteenth Infantry in the Mexican–American War. His military exploits earned him the nickname, "War Horse of Sumner County." Early life Trousdale was born in Orange County, North Carolina, the son of James and Elizabeth (Dobbins) Trousdale.
