Tropical Storm Nangka (2020)
Tropical Storm Nangka, also known in the Philippines as Tropical Depression Nika, was a weak tropical cyclone which impacted Hainan and parts of Indochina, which had been affected by Tropical Storm Linfa just days earlier. Nangka in total caused 4 deaths and 5 missing in China and Vietnam. Meteorological history On October 11, 2020, the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) began tracking a tropical depression off the west coast of Luzon. The PAGASA declared the system as a tropical depression at 12:00 UTC, and since the storm formed inside of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) the agency named the system ''Nika''. On the same day at 21:00, the Joint Typhoon Warning Center began issuing warnings on the system. On October 12, the system was declared a tropical storm by the JMA, and was named ''Nangka''. Vinh International Airport ( vi, Sân bay quốc tế Vinh) is located in Vinh city of Nghệ An Province in northern Vietnam. It is a mixed military/civil airport. Tropical Storm Lionrock (2021)
Tropical Storm Lionrock, known in the Philippines as Tropical Depression Lannie, was a tropical storm which caused minor damage to the Philippines, Vietnam, and Hainan. Lionrock was the 17th named storm of the 2021 Pacific typhoon season. Six people perished due to the storm: three in the Philippines, two in Vietnam, and one in Hong Kong. Typhoon Mary (1960)
Typhoon Mary, also nicknamed "Bloody Mary" by the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC), was an extremely damaging storm that was part of the 1960 Pacific typhoon season. It began as a circulation in a trough in the South China Sea. A tropical depression formed on June 2, as it was traveling clockwise. It became a tropical storm on the next day, and received the name ''Mary''. It slowly moved across the sea, strengthening to a typhoon. Mary made landfall in Hong Kong on June 8, and moved through Guangdong and Fujian. It reemerged back to the Pacific Ocean, and restrengthened into a typhoon temporarily. It then traveled east, weakening and becoming extratropical on June 12. Mary caused a significant amount of damage in Hong Kong and China.
