Trondheim Station
Trondheim Central Station ( no, Trondheim sentralstasjon) or Trondheim S is the main railway station serving the city of Trondheim, Norway. Located at Brattøra in the north part of the city centre, it is the terminus of the Dovre Line, running southwards, and the Nordland Line, which runs north. The railway is electrified south of the station but not north of it, so through trains must change locomotives at the station. Vy serves the station with express trains to Oslo and Bodø, regional trains to Røros and Östersund in Sweden, and the Trøndelag Commuter Rail. The Trondheim Bus Station located at the station serves all long-distance buses, and some city buses. From 1913 to 1968 the station was also the terminus for two lines of the Trondheim Tramway. Brattøra
Brattøra is an artificial island in the city of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. The island is located at the mouth of the river Nidelva just north of the city centre ( Midtbyen), west of Nyhavna, and south of Trondheimsfjord. There is a canal that divides the mainland from what is now the island of Brattøra. In addition to some commercial offices, most of the island is used by Trondheim Central Station and Trondheim Port. The island is connected to the western parts of Trondheim by the Skansen Tunnel which was completed in 2010. Since the late 1990s, there has been an urban renewal program at Brattøra, converting parts of the port to office buildings, including the swimming pool " Pirbadet" and a massive office complex housing among others Reinertsen and the Norwegian School of Management. Trøndelag Commuter Rail
The Trøndelag Commuter Rail ( no, Trønderbanen, ) is a commuter train service operating in Trøndelag county, Norway. It was operated by Vy (formerly Norwegian State Railways (NSB)) with Class 92 diesel multiple units, until 7 June 2020 when SJ Norge took over the contract until 2030. The service provides a commuter service connecting Trondheim to its suburbs, between towns in Innherred and as an airport rail link for Trondheim Airport, Værnes. Although passenger services have operated along the lines since 1864, the commuter train was created with an increase of service with existing rolling stock in 1993. In 2019, the system was used by 1.4 million passengers. The main service operates from Lerkendal in Trondheim via Trondheim Central Station and Trondheim Airport Station to Steinkjer on the Nordland Line. Østerdalen () is a valley and traditional district in Innlandet county, in Eastern Norway. This area typically is described as the large Glåma river valley as well as all its tributary valleys. It includes the municipalities Rendalen, Alvdal, Folldal, Tynset, Tolga and Os in the north, Elverum, Stor-Elvdal, Engerdal, Trysil and Åmot in the south. Mittnabotåget is/was a regional train service connecting Trondheim in Norway with Sundsvall in Sweden. It includes trains operated by Veolia Transport on the Mittlinjen between Sundsvall and Östersund in Sweden, and Norges Statsbaner’s cross-border Nabotåget services from Östersund on to Trondheim in Norway. The line between Trondheim and Östersund operates using BM92 diesel multiple units, with two daily departures each way. The line operated by Veolia in Sweden uses electrical Regina units. Night trains of Norway (Norwegian: Nattog) are night sleeping car services provided by three different operators on four routes; Vy on Oslo - Bergen (Bergen Line), Go-Ahead Norge on Oslo - Stavanger (Sørland Line), and SJ Norge on Oslo - Trondheim (Dovre Line) and Trondheim - Bodø (the Nordland Line).
