The Kyiv Trolleybus is a trolleybus network in Kyiv, the largest trolleybus network in the world in terms of line length, and the largest in Ukraine in terms of length and number of cars. The network was opened on November 5, 1935. History Pre-History In June 1914, a London firm proposed to Kyiv Mayor Mayor of Kyiv, I. M. Kyivpastrans is a municipal company that operates public transport in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. Its operations include electric trams, city buses and trolleybuses. It also operates the Kyiv Funicular and some urban rail lines. Kyivpastrans was established on October 2, 2001, by the Kyiv City Council to replace KP "Kyivelektrotrans" and the Kyiv City Territorial-Production Union of Automobile Transport.
