Trolley Books
Trolley Books is an independent UK publisher, specialising in art and photography books. Areas covered by Trolley include social reportage, photojournalism/ current affairs and contemporary art and architecture. Founded in September 2001 by Gigi Giannuzzi and based in Fitzrovia, London, Trolley Books concentrates on producing documentary photography books. Philip Jones Griffiths
Philip Jones Griffiths (18 February 1936 – 19 March 2008) was a Welsh people, Welsh photojournalist known for his coverage of the Vietnam War. Biography Jones Griffiths was born in Rhuddlan in Denbighshire, North Wales, to Joseph Griffiths, who supervised the local trucking service of the London, Midland and Scottish Railway, and Catherine Jones, Rhuddlan's district nurse, who ran a small maternity clinic at home. The couple had three sons, of whom Philip was the eldest. On leaving St Asaph's Grammar School at age 18, Philip, a pacifist and member of the Peace Pledge Union, was registered by the North Western Tribunal as a conscientious objector, obviating conscription to military service. Pictures of the Year International (POYi) is a professional development program for visual journalists run on a non-profit basis by the Missouri School of Journalism's Donald W. Rencontres D'Arles
The Rencontres d’Arles (formerly called ''Rencontres internationales de la photographie d’Arles'') is an annual summer photography festival founded in 1970 by the Arles photographer Lucien Clergue, the writer Michel Tournier and the historian Jean-Maurice Rouquette. The Rencontres d’Arles has an international reputation for showing material that has never been seen by the public before. In 2015, the festival welcomed 93,000 visitors; in 2016, the 100,000 visitor mark was reached. Laureana Toledo
Laureana Toledo (born 1970) is a Mexican conceptual artist. She has had solo exhibitions at Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo and at Museo Jumex in Mexico City. A work of Toledo's outdoor sculpture is included in the permanent collections of the Museo de Arte Moderno in Mexico City, and the Brooklyn Museum in New York. The Nansen Refugee Award is awarded annually by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to an individual, group, or organization in recognition of outstanding service to the cause of refugees, Internally displaced person, displaced, or statelessness, stateless people. Alixandra Fazzina (born 1974) is a British photojournalist. Her first book is ''A Million Shillings – Escape from Somalia.'' In 2008 she was the recipient of the Vic Odden Award from the Royal Photographic Society. In 2010 she won the UNHCR's Nansen Refugee Award for her work documenting the effect of war on uprooted people. In 2015 she was shortlisted for the Prix Pictet.
