Troitskaya Line
The Troitskaya line () (Line 16, previously ''Kommunarskaya line'', ) is a planned line of the Moscow Metro that will initially extend to the settlement of Kommunarka in the Novomoskovsky Administrative Okrug, or ''New Moscow''. Future expansion plans could extend the line to the town of Troitsk. The city plans to begin construction on the line in 2018. Current Timeline The initial stage of the line will cover from Moscow to Kommunarka and have seven stations. The city projects completion in 2021 at a cost of 49.8 billion rubles. Development Following the expansion of the city of Moscow, which doubled the city’s size, the city administration sought to increase public transit into the area, known as New Moscow. Bolshaya Koltsevaya Line
The Bolshaya Koltsevaya line (russian: Большая кольцевая линия), known in English as the Big Circle Line, designated Line 11 and 11A is an under construction rapid transit line of the Moscow Metro. When complete, it will become the third circle line on the system, running outside of the existing circle Koltsevaya line and interlocking with Moscow Central Circle, with a temporary branch to Delovoy Tsentr station in Moscow International Business Center. The first section of the line opened on 26 February 2018 with expected completion of the final stage in 2022. When complete, the line will include 31 stations including three from the existing Kakhovskaya line and over 66 kilometers (41 miles) of track. Kommunarka (Sokolnicheskaya Line)
Kommunarka (russian: Коммунарка) is a Moscow Metro station on the Sokolnicheskaya line. It was opened on 20 June 2019, along with Filatov Lug, Prokshino, and Olkhovaya. and became the southwestern terminus of the line, after Olkhovaya station. Kommunarka became the 232nd station of the Moscow Metro. It is in the Kommunarka area of Sosenskoye Settlement in the Novomoskovsky Administrative Okrug southwest of Moscow. It has become the southern terminus of the line. History The city government decided to extend the line to Stolbovo in February 2016; an unexpected decision given that the city initially planned to extend the line only to Filatov Lug. Tyutchevskaya is a station on the Troitskaya line of the Moscow Metro which is currently under construction. It will open in 2024. Name Initial name of the station was ''Slavyansky Mir'' (russian: Славянский мир "Slavic World") after a market located on the projected location of the construction works. Novatorskaya (russian: Новаторская) is a metro station on Bolshaya Koltsevaya line of the Moscow Metro, between Prospekt Vernadskogo and Vorontsovskaya. Akademicheskaya (Kaluzhsko–Rizhskaya Line)
Akademicheskaya (russian: Академи́ческая, ,English: Academy's) is a station on the Moscow Metro's Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya Line. It is named for the several Akademichesky Proyezd streets formerly located nearby, which were themselves named after the Russian Academy of Sciences but have all been renamed since. Akademicheskaya opened on October 13, 1962, and was designed by Yuliya Kolesnikova, Petukhova, and Fokina. Built to the relatively new pillar-trispan design (aka ''Sorokonozhka'', centipede), which became prevalent in the 1960s due to its low construction costs. The station has white marble pillars accented with a stripe of black marble near the top. The walls, originally faced with white tile with four horizontal blue stripes, were re-covered in 2003 with similarly coloured aluminium planes for a cleaner, more modern look.
