Troisdorf () is a city in the Rhein-Sieg-Kreis (district), in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Geography Troisdorf is located approximately 22 kilometers south of Cologne and 13 kilometers north east of Bonn. Sabine Katharina Lisicki (; born 22 September 1989) is a German professional tennis player. Lisicki turned professional in 2006, and her breakthrough came in 2009 when she reached the quarterfinals of the Wimbledon Championships, and also won her first title on the WTA Tour, at the Family Circle Cup. In March 2010, she suffered an ankle injury at the Indian Wells Open that kept her out of competition for five months and saw her fall out of the top 200. Lisicki rebounded in 2011 and won the Eastbourne Classic before entering the Wimbledon Championships as a wildcard and going on to reach the semifinals, where she lost to Maria Sharapova. In doing so she became only the second woman in Wimbledon history to make it to the semifinals while entering the tournament as a wildcard. Tom Buhrow (born 29 September 1958, in Troisdorf) is a German journalist who has been serving as intendant of the WDR since 2013. Early life and education Buhrow studied history and political science in Bonn. Career Careeer in journalism In 1978, Buhrow worked at the local newspaper ''Bonner General-Anzeiger''. In 1985, he was trained at the largest television station in North Rhine-Westphalia, WDR. Since 1986 he was the editor, reporter and bureau chief of the shows ''Aktuelle Stunde'' and ''West 3 Aktuell''. Redcar and Cleveland is a borough with unitary authority status in North Yorkshire, England. Colonia Dignidad ("Dignity Colony") was an isolated colony of Germans established in post- World War II Chile by emigrant Germans which became notorious for the internment, torture, and murder of dissidents during the military dictatorship of General Augusto Pinochet in the 1970s while under the leadership of German emigre preacher Paul Schäfer. Colonia Dignidad has been described as a "state within a state". Schäfer and members of the colony were deeply religious and followed the teachings of William Branham. Paul Schäfer Schneider (4 December 1921 – 24 April 2010) was a Nazi, child rapist, German-Chilean Christian minister and the founder and leader of a sect and agricultural commune of 300 German immigrants called Colonia Dignidad (''Dignity Colony'') (later renamed Villa Baviera) located in Parral in southern Chile, about south of Santiago from 1961 to 2005. Life Early life Johann Lair was born in c.1476 to Peter (a master wool weaver and town councillor) and Lena von Lair. Özdere (, ) is a small Turkish coastal settlement and resort town in the Menderes district of İzmir Province, along the Aegean Sea coast. It has a permanent population of around 15,000 people, which can rise to nearly 100,000 during the summer as a result of its popularity amongst tourists.
