The Trofeo de Campeones de la Liga Profesional is an official national football cup of Argentina organized by the Argentine Football Association (AFA), and contested by the winners of Primera División and Copa de la Liga Profesional. The competition is successor of Trofeo de Campeones organised by defunct Superliga Argentina,La Superliga Argentina presentó oficialmente el Trofeo de Campeones

The Argentine Football Association ( es, Asociación del Fútbol Argentino, ; AFA) is the governing body of football in Argentina based in Buenos Aires. It organises the main divisions of Argentine league system (from Primera División to Torneo Regional Federal and Primera D), including domestic cups: Copa Argentina, Copa de la Liga Profesional and the Trofeo de Campeones de la Liga Profesional. The 2019–20 Argentine Primera División - Superliga Argentina (officially the Superliga Quilmes Clásica for sponsorship reasons) was the 130th season of top-flight professional football in Argentina. The league season began on 26 July 2019 and ended on 9 March 2020. Twenty-four teams competed in the league, twenty-two returning from the 2018–19 season and two promoted from the 2018–19 Primera B Nacional ( Arsenal and Central Córdoba (SdE)). Villa Mercedes is a city in the province of San Luis, Argentina. The 2022 Trofeo de Campeones de la Liga Profesional (officially the Trofeo de Campeones Binance 2022 for sponsorship reasons) was the third edition of the Trofeo de Campeones de la Liga Profesional, an annual football match contested by the winners of Primera División and Copa de la Liga Profesional competitions, similar to the defunct Trofeo de Campeones de la Superliga Argentina. As Boca Juniors won both championships, 2022 Primera División and 2022 Copa LPF, Racing and Tigre (runners-up of the aforementioned competitions) played a semi-final to define the rival of Boca Juniors. Racing defeated Tigre by a 3–2 score. The final was played on 6 November 2022 at Estadio Único in Villa Mercedes, between Boca Juniors and Racing. Racing won their first title after the referee finished the match before the end of extra time after five Boca Juniors players had been sent off with Racing leading the score 2–1.

The 2022 Argentine Primera División - Liga Profesional will be the 132nd season of top-flight professional football in Argentina. The league season will begin on 5 June and will end on 23 October 2022. The 2022 Copa de la Liga Profesional (officially the Copa Binance 2022 for sponsorship reasons) was the third edition of the Copa de la Liga Profesional, an Argentine domestic cup. It began on 10 February and ended on 22 May 2022. The competition was contested by 28 teams, 26 clubs from the 2021 Primera División season plus two teams promoted from the Primera Nacional (Tigre and Barracas Central).
