The Triângulo Mineiro (, ''Mineiro (other), Mineiro Triangle'') is the region that comprises the west part of the state of Minas Gerais, in Brazil. It occupies an area of 93,500 km2 (slightly larger than Portugal or Hungary) and is bordered to the east by Serra da Canastra (Canastra Mountains), to the south by state of São Paulo (state), São Paulo, to the north by the state of Goiás, and to the west by the junction of the Rio Grande (Paraná River tributary), Rio Grande and Paranaíba River, Paranaíba rivers. The name of the region ''The Minas Gerais Triangle'', means that the junction of these two rivers resembles a triangle . Araguari is a municipality in western Minas Gerais state, Brazil. It is in the northern Triângulo Mineiro region, on the Jordão River, a tributary of the Paranaíba River, at an elevation between .
